RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF' LOS
ALTOS HILLS DECLARING INTENTION TO CONSIDER A PROPOSED
AMENDMENT TO THE TEXT OF CHAPTER 5 OF TITLE 9 OF THE LOS
ALTOS HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED THE "ZONING LAW OF
THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS" , AND SETTING THE TIME AND
PLACE OF HEARING THEREON BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission desires to consider a certain
amendment to Section 9-5. 702 of Chapter 5 entitled "Zoning" of Title
9 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code all as hereinafter described,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS :
1. The Planning Commission hereby declares its intention' to
consider an amendment to the Zoning Law of the Town of Los Altos
Hills being Chapter 5 entitled "Zoning" of Title 9 of the Los Altos
Hills Municipal Code, said amendment consisting of the amendment of
subsection (f) of Section 9--5 . 702 thereof to regulate exterior lighting.
2 .. The time and place for the public hearing thereon before
the Planning Commission as required by the Government Code of Cali-
fornia is hereby set at the hour of 7 : 30 o 'clock p.m, on Wednesday,
January 26, 1977 , in the Council Chambers, Town Hall , 26379 Fremont
Road, Los Altos Hills, California.
3 . The Secretary of the Planning Commission is hereby ordered
and directed to cause Notice of the public hearing to be held by
the Planning Commission to be made by posting in at least three (3)
public places in the Town not less than ten calendar days prior to
the day of hearing a Notice of Public Hearing.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing RESOLUTION was passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the Town
of Los Altos Hills held on the 8th day of December, 1976 .

NOTICE OF' PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN '.that the Planning Commission of
the Town of Los Altos Hills will hold a Public Hearing on
Wednesday, January 26, 1977 at the hour of 7 : 30 p.m. , in
the Council Chambers, Town Hall , 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos .
Hills , California, to consider a certain proposed amendment
to the text of the "Zoning Law of the Town of Los Altos Hills`,
which proposed amendment consists of the amendment of subsec-
tion (f) of Section 9-5. 702 of Chapter 5 of Title 9 of the
Los Altos Hills Municipal Code to regulate exterior lighting
of any swimming pool, tennis court or other accessory struc-
ture used for recreational purposes .
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a copy of the proposed amend-
ment to be considered is on file in the office of the Secretary
of the Planning Commission, Town Hall, Los Altos Hills, -Cali-
fornia, 'and may be inspected by the Public.
All interested persons are. invited to be present and to
be heard on the proposed amendment at said time and place.

ORDINANCE NO `
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
AMENDING SUBSECTION (f) OF SECTION 9-5. 702 OF
CHAPTER 5 OF TITLE 9 OF THE LOS ALTOS HILLS
MUNICIPAL CODE
The City Council of the Town of. Los Altos Hi11s DOES ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF CODE. Subsection '(f) of Section
9-5. 702 of Chapter 5 entitled "Zoning" of Title 9 of the Los Altos
Hills Municipal Code thereby is amended by adding thereto the
following:
Provided, however, all exterior lighting of any
swimming pool, tennis court, or other accessory struc-
tune used for recreational purposes except that
required for safety purposes, shall be prohibited.
All safety lighting shall be so arranged and shaded
as to reflect light away from adjoining premises.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE: POSTING. This Ordinance shall be
in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and after its pas=
sage, and shall be posted within the Town of Los Altos Hills in
three (3) public places.
