HomeMy WebLinkAbout34-86 i • • RESOLUTION NO. 34-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DECLARING CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE THEREOF RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that WHEREAS, the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills (herein refer- red to as the "TOWN") desires to sell certain surplus or obsolete personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the TOWN has determined that the best sales price for Said personal property can be obtained by sell- ing said personal property upon sealed bids , NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED as follows: 1. The items of personal property, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by -reference,and owned by the TOWN are hereby declaredtobe surplus or obsolete and are hereby ordered to be sold. 2 . The terms and conditions of sale, more particularly described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, are hereby approved. 3 . The City Clerk of the TOWN is hereby directed to publish once in the Peninsula Times Tribune, a newspaper of general circula- tion published nearest to said TOWN, a notice inviting sealed pro- posals or bids for the purchase of the above-described surplus personal property, which publication shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the time fixed for opening bids. 4. Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk of the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills on or before 2;00 p.m. , of the 1st day of April, 1986 , at the Office of the City Clerk . . 111 IIP in the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California said time being not less than ten (10) days from the time of the publication of said Notice. Bids will be publicly opened, examined and the Council will take action to accept one or more bids for the sale of the items of personal property or rejecting all bids not later than thirty (30) calendar days after the expiration of the time herein prescribed for the receipt of bids. Each item of personal property offered for sale will be sold in an "as is" condition. 2 . The City Council of the TOWN will consider all respons- ible bids , and reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to withdraw from sale any item or items offered for sale. 3. Each bid shall be submitted on the Bid Form to be ob- tained from the office of the City Clerk in the Town Hall, and should be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with the description of the item or items being bid for. A bidder may bid upon more than one item. 4 . Each Bid shall be accompanied by a check or money order in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the amount of the Bid. The balance of the purchase price will be payable upon acceptance of the Bid of a successful Bidder and prior to delivery of the item or items bid upon. 5. Questions concerning any item or items offered for sale should be addressed to the City Engineer at his office in the Town Hall.
