I , Side I , 056-148 Mayor Tryon called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 11: 00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall . A. ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor Tryon and Councilmembers Johnson and Siegel 4111, Absent: Councilmembers Casey and van Tamelen Staff: City Manager George Scarborough, Director of Public Works Bill Ekern, Engineering Consultant Sam Nash and City Clerk Pat Dowd B. REDUCTION IN DEPOSIT ON PORTION OF SUBDIVISION IMPROVEMENTS COMPLETED - LANDS OF CURRIE - O' KEEFE: Council had before them the City Manager ' s staff report dated 7/15/88 which included background information on the Lands of Currie and also included the recommendation that a warrant be approved in an amount not to exceed $175 ,500 subject to the City Engineer' s determination that an appropriate portion or unit of the subdivision improvements had been completed. The report also noted that this warrant would result in the reduction of the subdivision improvement deposit of $250 ,000 . Mr. Mehdi Mohammadian, applicant, commented on the status of the completion of the subdivision improvements . He did note that due to the drainage coming off a neighboring property, he was unable to finish certain items but believed this would be resolved next week and the improvements would then be completed. Mr. Mohammadian requested all of the deposit back or at least 80% of the total amount. MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Johnson, seconded by Siegel and passed unanimously by all members present to approve a warrant in an amount not to exceed $175 , 500 subject to the City Engineer' s determination that an appropriate portion or unit of the Lands of Currie Subdivision Improvements had been fully completed. The City Manager noted that Mr. Mohammadian had stated his plans to pave O' Keefe and stated that he would be preparing staff reports on this issue in the near future. C.
