MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
Tuesday, January 11, 1983

Mayor Perkins called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 3:40 p.m.
in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.
A. ROLL CALL:
Present: Mayor Perkins and Ccuncilmenbers Allison, Hillestad and Proft
Absent: Councilwoman van Tamelen
Staff: City Manager Ann Hinshaw, City Clerk Pat Dowd
Press: Fd Hering, San Jose Mercury
B. MATTERS RELATED TO MATADER0 CREEK SUBDIVISION:
1. Lot #16
�IrWolfe Fox & Carskadon, reported that the counter-offer for Lot #16
whMticyhe the Council had made on January 5, 1983 had been accepted with one change,
i.e. the buyer would have one more week to cacplete site developlent plans.
MOTION SECONDED ASID CARRIED: Moved by Allison, seconded by Hillestad and passed
unanimously by all members present to approve the following change to the counter-
offer for Lot #16: buyer submit site development tentative plans on or before
February 7, 1983.
MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Allison, seconded by Proft and passed unani-
mously by all menbers present to adopt Resolution #1520 authorizing execution and
delivery of deed, and accepting deed of trust and authorizing recordation thereof
concerning Int 16, Tract No. 7187, Matadero Creek Subdivision.
2, lot #15
Jackve Wolfe Fox & Carskadon, reported that she had received an offer on Int #15
of $279,000 (all cash offer) with a closing date of July 1, 1983. A discussion
followed concerning the ramifications of a July 1, 1983 closing date, i.e. interest
paid by Tonin, etc.
MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Allison, seconded by Hillestad and passed
unanimously by all members present to present a counter-offer for Int #15,
accepting all the terms of the offer including a July 1, 1983 closing date at a
price of $284,000.
MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Hillestad, seconded by Proft and passed unani
mously by all members present to give the potential buyer of lot #15 forty-eight
hours to consider the Town's counter-offer.
