MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
Wednesday, February 9, 1983
Mayor Perkins called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order
at 3:35 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers.
A. ROLL CALL:
Present: Mayor Perkins and Councilmembers Allison and Hillestad
Absent: Councilxs Proft and van Tamelen
Staff: City Manager Ann Hinshaw, City Attorney Frank Gillio
and Secretary Leslie Mullins
Press: Ed Herring, San Jose Mercury
B. MATADERO CREEK LOT SALES:
Ms. Jacque Wolfe, Fox & Carskadon informed the City Council
the buyersfor Lot #1 are now unable to purchase; deal has fallen
through and the buyer for Lot #6 did not accept the counter
offer.
Ms. Wolfe informed the Council the buyer for Lot #11 has made a
kAr counter offer to close on April 18, one week earlier than he pre-
viously offered. Ms. Wolfe briefly explained the buyers financial
status to council.
Councilman Allison expressed his concern that by allowing the
buyer to close on April 18th, this extension of time would cost
the Town around $3,100 in interest.
Ms. Wolfe indicated that the Council has previously given 60 day
closures, and that this is an all cash offer.
Mr. Bob Taylor, Fox & Carskadon, representing the buyer,informed
council that the buyer is in the process of refinancing property
in Texas and gave council a brief description of the buyers
financial situation.
MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Hillestad, seconded by
Allison and passed unanimously to accept counter offer and
adopt Resolution authorizing execution and delivery of deed, and
accepting deed of trust and authorizing recordation thereof con-
cerning Lot #11, Tract No. 7187, Matadero Creek Subdivision.
C. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further new or old business, the meeting was
adjourned at 3:50 p.m.
