I, Side II, 485-977 Mayor Perkins called the Study Session of the City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Tann Hall. •,� v� � n a�n � � w Present: Mayor Perkins and Councilmenbers Allison, Proft and van Tamelen Absent: Councilwoman Hillestad Staff: City Manager Ann Hinshaw, City Planner John Carlson, City Attorney Frank Gillio Qtr. Gillio arrived at 7:50 p.m. and left the meeting at 8:45 p.m.), and City Clerk Pat Dowd Press: Robert Manetta, Peninsula Times Tribune B. STUDY SESSION - PRIORITIFS: Council had before them a list of 42 Town priority items for their review and study. This list had been caviled in part from lists sukmitta3 by Councilmonbers on this issue. A general discussion followed on the difference between policy matters and implementation items; immediate needs versus long -teem goals; financial restrictions; and limited resources available for certain projects. With the arrival of the City Attorney, the City Council adjourned to Closed Session for Personnel at 7:50 p.m. and reconvened at 8:45 p.m. As a beginning step regarding a priority list, Council agreed to review each item for clarification purposes only. In doing this, it was pointed out that some matters were being addressed by Tam caumittees. In particular it was noted that the matter of mosquito control for 1983 would be assigned to the Pollution Control CmTnittee. Council agreed to add the following matter to their list: Matadero Creek Subdivision - wrap up. Council further agreed to schedule a con- tinuation of this study session - date to be determined at the April 6 Council meeting. Before the next session, there would be the opportunity to categorize the items on the list, consider additional topics and determine strategies for proceeding with the process of establishing priorities.
