II, Side, II, 001-079 Mayor Proft called the Adjourned Meeting of the City Council to order at 5:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of Town Hall. All Councilmenbers were present. A. Resolution #_declaring canvass of returns and results of General Municipal Election MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Hillestad, seconded by Proft and passed by all members present to adopt Resolution #1434 declaring canvass of returns and result of General Municipal Election B. Administering of the Oath of Affirmation and seating of newly elected Councilmeribers The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to the new Councilmenbers, Andrew Allison and Mary van Tamelen. The Clerk then presented than with the framed Oaths of Affirmation. The Clerk then presented former Councilrembers Nystrom and McReynolds with framed pictures of the Town's seal in appreciation for their service on the Council. Mr. Nystrom expressed his appreciation to the staff and to the Town for the support he had received during his term. Irma Goldsmith, 27330 Elena, addressed the Council and expressed her appreciation to the outgoing members of the Council for the contributions they had made to the Town during their terns of office. C. Reorganization of Council 1. vacation of office of Mayor and Mayor Pro TeMpOre MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Proft, seconded by Perkins and passed unanimously to vacate the office of Mayor and Mayor Pro Tempore. 2. Election of Mayor MC(TION SEODDIDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Proft, seconded by Allison and passed unanimously to nominate Perkins as Mayor. MOTION SEODNDED AM CARRIED: Moved by Proft, seconded by Allison to cast a unanimous white ballot vote electing Perkins as Mayor for a term of one year. 09 C= COUNCIL MINUPES - April 20, 1982 C. Re -organization of Council (continued). 3. Election of Mayor Pro Tempore Allison nominated van Tamelen Mayor Pro TaTpore MXION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Perkins, seconded by Proft to casta unanimous white ballot vote electing van Tamelen as Mayor Pro Tempore. Mayor Perkins presented Proft with his gavel mounted on a plaque from the Council and Hillestad presented Proft with a silver tray from the residents of the Tuan. Both of these presentations were in honor of his achievements over the past year as Mayor. Proft expressed his thanks for the sipport he had received during his term as Mayor. D.
