HomeMy WebLinkAbout04/05/1978CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - April 5, 1978 E. SPECIAL ORDERS: (Continued) I. a) LANDS OF DAWSON (Continued) Mr. Couperus, Page Mill Road, stated emphatically that there had been nothing substan- tive raised to refute the document before Council. Councilman McReynolds also felt that many pertinent factors had been overlooked in the discussion of the report submitted and that the environmentally fragile area around Hale Creek was the most significant issue not addressed in the study. Consensus of Council was in agreement with this premise and discussion followed on procedural re- solution of the Motion before them. MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: It was moved by Councilman McReynolds, seconded by Councilman Nystrom and carried unanimously to continue consideration of the Negative Declaration, LANDS OF DAWSON, File TM #2073-77, to the next meeting, April 19, 1978. Mr. Lambert, the Developer and Mr. Swett, of Enviros, outlined their understanding of what was requested and that, in response to Councilman Proft's question, the two week time limit should present no problems. b) Request for Tentative Map Approval, LANDS OF GERARD INVESTMENT, File TM #2071-77. During their walk over the subject property, Councilmen Proft and McReynolds had located an adjacent slide area which served to impede their consideration of a Negative Declara- tion. Council discussion ensued with the Applicant, Mr. Lambert, regarding soils com- position in the Chaparral Way area and the potential for slides resulting from develop- ment. Mr. Lambert, Applicant, expressed willingness to return with a more complete soils Investigation. MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Councilman Brown, seconded by Mayor Hillestad and passed unanimously to continue consideration of the Negative Declaration, LANDS OF GERARD INVESTMENT, File TM #2071-77, to the next meeting, April 19, 1978.
