CITY COUNCIL TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS 26379 Fremont Road Los Altos Hills, California MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING Monday, June 7, 1976 SESSION NOT TAPE RECORDED Mayor Robert Cheney called the Adjourned Meeting of Council to order at 3:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber of Town Hall: A. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Brown, Grabowski, Proft, Councilwoman Hillestad, Mayor Cheney Staff: City Manager Robert Crowe B. CURRENT BUSINESS: The purpose of the Adjourned meeting was to continue discussion on the proposed Budget for FY 1976-77. Planning Department - Account #1-405: Council agreed to defer any decision on the proposed Vehicle Expense, Account #1-405.17,until a later time. Councilman Proft moved, seconded by Councilman Grabowski to approve the proposed sum of $5,000 under # 1-405.28 entitled "Other Expenses." CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET (page 52): Councilwoman Hillestad moved, seconded by Councilman Grabowski to delete the line item on page 52 of the Proposed FY 1976-77 Budget entitled "Westwind Stable Improvements", and substitute"'Little League Safety Improvements." A substitute motion for the motion above was made by Mayor Cheney, seconded by Councilman Proft to leave $5,000 for Westwind Stable improvements and budget $12,500 for Little League Safety improvements. An amendment to the substitute motion (above) was made by Councilwoman Hillestad to allot $15,000 for Little League Safety improvements and leave $2,500 for Westwind Stable improvements. The amendment failed by the following roll call vote: AYE: Councilwoman Hillestad, Councilman Grabowski NO: Councilmen Brown, Proft, Mayor Cheney CM CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - June 7, 1976 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET (Cont'd): Mayor Cheney's substitute motion (above) to approve $5,000 for Westwind Safety improvements and budget $12,500 for Little League Safety improve- ments carried unanimously by roll call vote. Councilman Grabowski moved, seconded by Councilwoman Hillestad to delete the $5,000 for Westwind Stable improvements and reallocate that sum to the proposed expenditures for chip -sealing various streets within the Town. Motion failed by the following roll call vote: AYE: Councilman Grabowski, Councilwoman Hillestad NO: Councilmen Brown, Proft, Mayor Cheney Non -Departmental - Account #1-406: Council concurred with the expenditures proposed in Account #1406. Retirement - Account #1-415: Council concurred with the expenditures proposed in Account #1415. Police Services - Account #1-420: Council concurred with the expenditures proposed in Account #1420. Building & Safety - Account #1-430: Council concurred with the expenditures proposed in Account #1430. Engineering - Account #1-440: Council withheld approval of Account #1-440.17, Vehicle expense until this matter was discussed further. C. ADJOURNMENT: Council adjourned at 5:20 P.M. to an Adjourned Meeting on Tuesday, June 8, 1976 at 2:30 PM, and from thence, to an Adjourned Meeting on Monday, June 14, 1976 at 9:30 A.M. -2- Respectfully submitted, Robert E.
