MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING
Thursday, June 10, 1976
SESSION NOT TAPE RECORDED
Mayor Robert Cheney called the Adjourned Meeting of Council to order at
1:30 P.M. in the Council Chamber of Town Hall:
A. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilwoman Hillestad, Councilman Proft, Mayor Cheney
Absent: Councilmen Brown, Grabowski
Staff: City Manager Robert Crowe, Town Planner Ken Pastrof
B. CURRENT BUSINESS:
The purpose of the Adjourned Meeting was to continue the review of the
proposed Subdivision Ordinance, continuing at Section 9-4.601.
Council approved definition H3, Private Road, Reserve Strips, Panhandle,
and Corridor, and completed their review of the proposed Ordinance.
C. ADJOURNMENT:
Council adjourned at 5:00 P.M. to an Adjourned Meeting on Monday, June 14,
1976 at 9:30 A.M.

~ ORDINANCE DEFINITIONS ADOPTED BY COUNCIL AT ADJOURNED MEETING OF 6/10/76
PERTAINING TO PROPOSED SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE:
PRIVATE ROAD:
"Private Road" is a road, way, place or street in private ownership not
offered for dedication as a public road, way, place or street, which
affords the principle means of access to one or more lots or parcels
which do not have frontage on a public street.
RESERVED STRIPS:
"Reserved Strips" shall mean a strip of land one foot (1') or more in width
which controls the access to public ways and will be utilized for the
protection of the public welfare and/or property rights. Use and disposal
of the reserved strip shall be within the exclusive control of the City.
PANHANDLE:
"Panhandle" shall mean the portion of a lot which serves primarily to connect
the buildable section of the lot to the public or private vehicular right-
of-way. Said portion of land which accomplishes the above connection shall
be used primarily for vehicular access to a single lot.
CORRIDOR:
"Corridor" shall mean the same as "Panhandle", and in addition, the term
shall mean a portion of land utilized primarily for vehicular access from
the public or private vehicular right-of-way to the buildable area of two or
more lots. Said portion of land may be in single ownership with granted
easements, or may be in multiple ownerships with granted reciprocal easements.
