Pastrof responded that the man attached to the Staff Report as "Appendix 'B"' was not a part of tr_ Tentative Han, but was only a reference showing possible future development. 1r. Pastrof also clarified the pathiway condition as recommended by the Planning Commission, and stated that the owner of the subdivision had agreed to pay road fees since he was the Omer of the both properties. tJOTID?! Grundman pointed out the trails and naths recomende-i on a map for the benefit of residents and Council, noting that the Committee intention was to work on land within the unincorporated areas: and not infringe on any territory wit1iin a city's jurisdiction. Following the question-anstier period for the benefit of interested residents, 'trs. Lucille Goub", Ortega Drive, requested nermission to make a statement. t Mrs. Gould stated that the Town of Los Altos Hills had spent a great deal of time and -effort on paths and trails and realized the costs of acquirinn and maintaining such a system. She noted that to -:!o residents !,ere actively involved in both County and the Special District committees, as well as being involved as members and advisors to the Toern's PaOttay Committee. frs. could expressed concern over possible acquisition of school sites by the Special District within the Teton's .Jurisdiction, and spoke to the issue of duplication of effort on the part of sarroundinq municipalities, County and the part: District, statin,, that budgetary limitations should he considered as a factor in this matter. She stat_r' that acquisition of land _;,,r paths and trails should be considered in light of th'_� fact that a small senment of the nonulation was interested in this type of recreation. She requested that Council consider placing on a future agenda the utilization of school sites so that citizens night fall.; address the issue before any other agency or group con- sidered this matter. Crowe noted that the AW, Report on Regional I{ousinq Flement, Phase I, had been fonnareed to the Planninn Commission for review and recommendation, and a sub -committee had been formed consisting. of Commissioners Hillestad, prolan and Perl!in.s for this nurnose. He said that subsequently the Commission revie,,ed the Report and endorsed it with the recommendations attached for Council. 'Iayr,.r grabowski stated for the record that he felt the subcommittee had done a superlative joh on t`!e Renort and had taken a nreat burden from the Council in reviewing the Renort. Councilman Cheney also tormented that the Renort was so thorough an', cornlate that Council could move on the recommendations and conclusions of the Commission. Councilman Helgesson seconded the notion which carried unanimously by roll call vote. 1. Consideration of alternatives re Purissima School land ase: Nr. Crowe explained that this Item s•!as on the AnWp. this evcnina at the request of citiaens concerned over the closing of Purissima School. Me noted the consistent failure of residents to move the School nistrict Board from this purpose and renuested Council to cone to their assistance. He stated that the Board nistrict had already hired an appraiser, and that a resolution had been adopted to sell the trio schools iiithin the To,:rn. PIr. neller requested that Council move to zone the school sites and the Town Hall site as public facility zones. 11r.
