Mayor Albert T. Henley called toe Regular Neeting of the City Council of the
Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:52 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the
Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, with the following members
answering Roll Call: Present: Councilmen Aiken, Benson, Davey, Fowle,
Mayor Henley. Absent: None.
PLANNITdG COMMISSION REPRESENTAT NE: Commissioner L. Dawson.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 4, 1968.
Amendment: P. A, Item 4, Slope Density, 6th line from bottom, amend to
read "....then 1.0 acre is the minimum lot size."
Upon Motion by Councilman Fowle, Seconted by Davey, the Minutes of March 4,
1968 were unanimously approved as amended.

1) 16rs. Florence Fava, 26691 Moody Road, dated March 6, 1968 re:
opposition to proposed Septic Tank Ordinance.
2) Notice to Property Owners, Sewer Assessment District No. 3, dated
march o, 1963, re: estimated assessment of $2,045.00 for Town Hall site.
No protest was voiced by the Council.
3) Comiaittee for Green Foothills dated Parch 8, 1968 requesting Council
support for "38 231, which provides for extention of powers of the Bay
Conservation and Development Commission for 90 days past the last day of the
1550 State Legislature session".
NCTIOp, SECONDdD AND CARRIED: Counci Lean •towle moved, Seconded by Davey,
and carried unanimously, that the Council go on record as supporting SB 231.
^) Ralp:� A. Aehrkens, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, County of Santa
Clara, dated March 12, 1968, requesting The Council's response regarding
Santa Clara County's position on ABAG.
Council concurred that the County's position should be studied and this matter
re-agendaed for April 1st.
5) V.rgnia N1, Summit, 13390 Lennox Jay, dated March 10, 19689 re: air
pollution problems in the community.
Council concurred that this matter should be deferred for study and re-agendaed
two for April 1st.
ANNOLMCEMENTS:
1) City Manager noted that the County Transportation Policy Committee will
1 hold a Special Meeting, March 20th in San Jost. Councilman e_nson noted
the Committee's discussions on Countywid_ Bus Service and Rapid Transit
systems and suggested the Council indicate to the Committee 'chat it is in
accord with these discussions.

the proposal of a Countywide bus system as a preliminary to a rapid transit
system serving the Peninsula.

that Resolution No. 4.40 be adopted as read, was carried unanimously by roll
call vote: ayes: Councilmen Aiken, Benson, Davey, Fowls, Mayor Aenley.

Hay 102 195.. at Berkeley, Cali;:ornia rn: 1963-69 Budget,
3) Cita Amager noted that the Commit,e'a for Green roothills is sponsoring
a Candidate's flight, on 'March 21st. at 5:00 P. N., Fremont Hills School re:
conservation in the community. Thr Committee also is sponsoring a family
picnic honoring the new Councilmen on Sunday, April 21st, 12:00 Noon to
6:00 P. id, in Byrne Park.

Path Comoittee, dated narcO 15, 1963, re: supporting purchase Of

the possibility of involving private funds from Town residents in buying
tais land. Council concurred that a committee of citizens living in the
area shosid be formed to study the desires of the community in regard to
open spars a.nd to also study proposed methods of aayraent.

MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Benson moved, Seconded by Aiken,
and carried unanimously, that the Council approve Final Map submitted by
Matadero Springs (330-67), Tract foo. 4%78, subject to path dedications along
the northerly and easterly boundaries and along the westerly boundary adjacent
to the Palo Alto School property.
RESOLUTIONS: 798
1. Resolution calling for and setting public hearing re: interim
4W Ordinance on Slope Density.
City Attorney introduced and read in its entirety Resolution No. <3J,
a resolution of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills seiting
a Public Hearing (April 1, 1968) for consideration of an amendment to and
extension on Ordinance No. 135, being an intariu emergency zoning ordin-
ance of said Town.

that the bills as presented in the amount of FOUR THOUS,ND, THIRTY-SIX. DOLL,(RS
and Ain,ty-nine Cents ($4,036.95) be approved and the City Clerk authorized
to draw the appropriate warrants, was carried unanimously by roll call vote.
City Clerk noted that warrants approved {March -., 19bB, total .^,27,796.60,
included $25,008 which was not drawn and will be resubmittal for Council
approval at a later date.
