of the Town Hall, 26379 Fre aont Ro,xd, Los j -altos Hills, with the following
members answering Roll Call: Present: Councilmen Aiken, Benson, Davey,
Fowle, 1°iayor Henley. Absent: Hone,

City ilanager read the following comiiunications:
1) 92j -en R. :.rnold and seven other residents of Alexis Drive, Palo Alto,
dated.:,oril 15, 1966, opposing any ?reposed plans to cut down the oak tree
in the riddle of Alexis Drive at the Page Mill Road intersection.
2) Thoias Jordan, President of Committee for Green Foothills, dated
April 15, 196&, opposing the possible removal of the oak tree oil -',1�:
Drive and suggesting that either the road be widened or that the Palo ;,Ito
school bus route be changed.
City Fianager noted that Los Altos Hills does not intend to cut down the tree
and that Staff will communicate with the Palo Alto School District in this
regard.
3) Ca-,ittee for Green Foothills noting a Family Picnic to be held in
Byrne Park on April 21st (Sunday), 12:00 iloon to C:00 P. M., to welcome the
new Councilmen.

RESOLUTION NO. 456
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS
ALTOS HILLS DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF
THE PRECINCT ELECTION. RETURNS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 9, 1968.
WHBREAS, by Resolution duly passed and adopted the City Council
of the Town of Los Altos Hills called and ordered a General Municipal
Election for the purpose of electing three councilmen to full four year
terms, and
WHEREAS, notice of said General Municipal Election was duly published as
required by law and by said Resolution, and
WHEREAS, it appears that said General Municipal Election was duly
held in accordance with law and said call on the 9th day of April, 1968,
and the polls for said election were kept open during the time required

by law, and that said election was held and conducted, and the votes
thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertain,
determined and declared, all as provided by the laws of the State of
California, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills has duly
convened at its usual meeting place on the 16th day of April, 1968,
being the first Tuesday after the election and has received from the
City Clerk a canvass of the returns of such election, and
WHEREAS, said ...canvass was duly completed and the results thereof
are as hereinafter set forth, and

-"W the result of the General Municipal Election held on April 9, 1968, to
be as follows
a) That s*Ad General Municipal Election was old and conducted
in the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of Santa Clara, State
Of California, on Tuesday, April 9, 1968, in the time, form
and manner required by law,
b) That there were five voting precincts:
1. Consolidated Precinct No, 4 consisting of
county precincts 2389 and 2395.
2. Consolidated Precinct No. 2, consisting of
county precinct 2383.
3. Consolidated Precinct No. 3, consisting of
county precincts 2987 and 2391.
4. Consolidated Predipnt No. 4, consisting of
county precincts 2385 and 2390.
5. Consolidated RYmcimct No. 5, consisting of
county precincts 2386. 2388, and 2392.
IMF c) That a canvass of the votes cast in said city for said
office were duly held in accordance with the order of the
City Council and in accordance with law.
d). That there were five Consolidated precincts numbered

Leslie A. Helgesson. Wa. Rose Aiken and Walter A. Senson had the
highest number of votes for said office, and that they were therefor

IT IS FURTHER RSSOLVRD THAT THS City Clerk be and he is hereby
instructed to enter this resolution in full in the minutes of this
Council u the statement of the result of said General Municipal
Slectiass and that the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorised and
directed to perform any and all incidental duties required by law
in connection herewith.
