40 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 294 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS <br />HILLS AMENDING SECTION 4-3.1301 ENTITLED "DECREASE <br />OF STATE SPEED LIMITS" OF CHAPTER 3 OF TITLE 4 OF <br />THE LOS ALTOS HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE <br />The City Council of the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />DOES ORDAIN as follows: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF CODE. <br />Section 4-3.1301 of Article 13 of Chapter 3 Entitled "Traffic" <br />of Title 4 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code hereby is amended <br />to read as follows: <br />Section 4-3.1301. Decrease of State Speed Limits. <br />Whenever the City Council has adopted a Resolution <br />determining upon the basis of an engineering and <br />traffic investigation that the speed permitted by <br />State law outside business and residence districts <br />as applicable upon the streets described in the <br />Resolution is greater than is reasonable or safe <br />under the conditions found to exist upon such streets, <br />it is hereby declared that the prima facie speed <br />limit shall be as set forth in the Resolution on <br />those streets or parts of streets designated in the <br />Resolution where signs are erected giving notice <br />thereof. <br />SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. POSTING. <br />This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) <br />days after its passage, and shall be posted within the City of the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills in three (3) public places. <br />
