ORDINANCE NO. 119
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMEND-
ING ORDINANCE NO. 69 BY AMENDING THE RATE OF CONTRI-
BUTION TO THE SPECIAL PATH CONSTRUCTION FUND, AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 86.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Ordinance No. 69 of the Town of Los Altos
Hills is hereby amended by adding SECTION 3:80 thereof to
read as follows:
"3:80 Paths. The Subdivider shall grade and
contruct, to Town Standards, paths along all existing and
new public roads, contiguous to the subdivided property,
and one one side of all such roads within such property,
making appropriate dedications to public use where such may
be deemed by the Planning Commission or the City Council to
be necessary to accomodate such paths. Where so required
by the Planning Commission or the City Council, the Sub-
divider shall also make dedications for, grade, and con-
struct to Town Standards paths along such parcel boundaries
as the Planning Commission or City Council may designate,
said paths to connect with convenient routes of travel within
the subdivided property. In cases where the roads within
the subdivided property carry heavy traffic, the Planning
Commission may require paths on both sides. In any case in
which the Planning Commission or the City Council finds that
the public interest would be best served by a delay in con-
struction of any or all of the paths herein required, or by
modification of the location or nature of the paths to be
constructed, the Subdivider will be permitted, at his option,
to contribute to the Towns Special Path Construction Fund,
a sum of money equal to One Hundred Ten Per Cent (110%) of

of the City Engineer's Approved Estimate of the construction
cost of the paths which he would otherwise be required to
construct. Appropriate dedications will be made at the time
of payment into the Fund. Thereafter the Subdivider will
be under no further obligation to constuct the paths or por-
tions thereof for which this alternative procedure is pre-
mitted and followed.
"Unless a written waiver is given by the Subdivider,
all funds paid into the Fund shall be used by the Town within
a reasonable time after the receipt thereof, for construction
of appropriate paths within the locality or neighborhoold
of the subdivision for which the contribution is made."
SECTION II. Except as herein amended, Ordinance No. 69
shall continue in full force and efect. Ordinance No. 86
adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills,
on October 15, 1962, is hereby repealed.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall be posted in three (3)
public places and shall become effective thirty (30) days
after its adoption.
The foregoing oridnance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on May 1, 1967, and was
thereafter, at a regular meeting held on May 15, 1967, passed
and adopted by the following roll call vote:
