ORDINANCE NO. = <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS <br />HILLS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 78 OF SAID TOWN BY ADDING NEW <br />SECTIONS THERETO PERTAINING TO MINIMUM AREA OF STEEP LOTS AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 135. <br />The City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, California, <br />does hereby ordain as follows: <br />SECTION I. This ordinance is adopted pursuant to <br />Section 65858 of the Government Code of the State of California, <br />and the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby <br />find and determine that the Planning Commission of said City <br />is considering or studying or intends to study within a <br />reasonable time proposals relating to appropriate zoning <br />regulations for steep sites. This ordinance is therefor adopted <br />as an urgency measure to protect the public health, safety and <br />welfare of the Town of Los Altos Hills. <br />SECTION II. Ordinance No. 78 of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />adopted December 4, 1962, is hereby amended by adding to Section <br />VIII thereof new subsections as follows: <br />"8:11 Special Rule for Steep Lots. In addition to the <br />general rule expressed in Section 8:10 above, the minimum <br />average net area of lots created in any subdivision after the <br />effective date of this ordinance, to be used for dwellings, <br />shall be not less than that certain acreage determined in accor- <br />dance with the following formulae: <br />1. Where the average slope of the parcel in per <br />cent determined by the contour measuring method is greater <br />than forty per cent (40%) the minimum average lot size shall <br />be two (2) acres and additional requirements may be imposed <br />following individual site studies. <br />2. Where the average slope of the parcel in per <br />cent determined by the contour measuring method is ten per <br />uooR�o&Fq�apNr cent (10%) or greater, but not greater than forty per cent <br />-1- <br />
