1rr *40 <br />ORDINANCE N0, 148 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS, CALIFORNIA, <br />PROHIBITING OPERATION OF VEHICLES ON PRIVATE PROPERTY WITH- <br />OUT THE CONSENT OF THE OWNER THEREOF, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES <br />FOR VIOLATION AND BEING AN URGENCY MEASURE EFFECTIVE <br />IMMEDIATELY UPON ADOPTION. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DOES <br />HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Definitions. Unless the provision or con- <br />text otherwise requires, these definitions shall govern the <br />construction of this ordinance. <br />(a) Motor Cycle. A "motor cycle" is any motor vehicle <br />other than a tractor having a seat or saddle for the use of <br />the rider and designed to travel m not more than three wheels <br />in contact with the ground and weighing less than 1,500 pounds, <br />except that four wheels may be in contact with the ground when <br />two of the wheels are a functional part of a sidecar. <br />(b) Motor Assisted Bicycle. A "motor assisted bicycle" <br />is a standard bicycle designed primarily to be driven by <br />human motive power, to which an auxiliary motor of not exceeding <br />one-half gross brake horsepower has been attached. <br />(c) Motor Driven Cycle. A "motor driven cycle" is any <br />motorcycle including every motor scooter, with a motor which <br />produces less than 15 gross brake horsepower, but not including <br />any motor assisted bicycle. <br />(d) Motor Vehicle. A "motor vehicle" is a vehicle which <br />is self-propelled. <br />SECTION 2. Operations Prohibited. No person shall operate <br />any motor vehicle, motorcycle or motor driven cycle (except a <br />motor assisted bicycle) on any private property within the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills without the prior express consent thereto <br />of the owner or other person in control of such premises. <br />IADONIO R FALSANT <br />-1- <br />LOA ALTO..
