HomeMy WebLinkAbout204)A W .r ORDINANCE NO. 204 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMENDING SECTIONS OF THE LOS ALTOS HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE CITY MANAGER. SECTION 1. Code Amended. The following sections of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 2-3.214. Powers and duties: Authority over employees. It shall be the duty of the City Manager and he shall have the authority to control, order, and give directions to all heads of departments and to subordinate officers and employees of the Town under his jurisdiction through their department heads; provided, however, such authority shall not extend to, or apply to, the City Attorney or elected officers of the Town and their employed staffs. "Sec. 2-3.215. Powers and duties: Appointment, removal, promotion, and demotion of employees. It shall be the duty of the City Manager to appoint, remove, promote, and demote all officers and employees of the Town, except the City Attorney and City Treasurer, subject to the provisions of any personnel regulations of the Town and personnel rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto." SECTION 2. Adoption, Posting, Effective Date. This ordinance is adopted pursuant to Section 50022.1 et seq. of the Government Code, following noticed public hearing. It shall be posted in three (3) public places within the Town and shall become effective thirty (30) days following its adoption. ROBIN D.
