HomeMy WebLinkAbout226ORDINANCE NO. 226 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMENDING SUBSECTION (b) OF SECTION 4-2.116 OF CHAPTER 2 OF TITLE 4, AND SUBSECTION (c) OF SECTION 6-4.119 OF CHAPTER 4 OF TITLE 6 OF THE LOS ALTOS HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE The City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills DOES ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF CODE. Subsection (b) of Section 4-2.116 of of Chapter 2 of Title 4 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code hereby is amended to read as follows: "Section 4-2.116. Brush and Vegetative Growth: Clearance from Structures and Roadways. (b) Notices of noncompliances: Costs of work done by Chief. In the event any of the conditions prohibited by the provisions of this section exist, the Council may instruct the Chief to give notice to the owner of the property upon which such conditions exist to correct such prohibited condi- tions, and, if the owner fails to correct such conditions, the Chief may cause the work to be done and make the expense of such correction a lien upon the property upon which such conditions exist." SECTION 2. AMENDMENT OF CODE. Subsection (c) of Section 6-4.119 of Chapter 4 of Title 6 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code hereby is amended to read as follows: "Section 6-4.119. Private Systems: New Construction: Septic Tank Permits. (c) Issuance. If the application is prepared and the work proposed is in conformance with the requirements of this Chapter, and the Town Standards adopted and in effect at the time of issuance, the Health Officer shall issue the septic tank and leach field permit. The permit, as issued by the Health Officer, shall be in full force and effect for a period of one (1) year from the date of issuance of the permit. If the septic tank and the leach field have not been completed within the one (1) year period from the date of issuance, the permit shall become null and void and a new application shall be filed. The issuance of a new permit shall be in conformance with both the requirements of the provisions of this Chapter and the Town Standards adopted and in effect at the time of issuance of the new permit. If it is determined by the Health Officer that the parcel of land set forth in the application does not con- form to the requirements of this Chapter or Town Standards adopted and in effect at the time of filing of the applica- tion, the Health Officer shall not issue the permit. Any person may appeal the finding of the Health Officer to the City Council in accordance with Section 6-4.125 of this Chapter. The Council, upon the conclusion of the public hearing, shall either sustain the findings and determination of the Health Officer, or shall grant a variance to the provisions of this Chapter and the Town Standards." 9WM ` v r SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: POSTING. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and after its pas- sage, and shall be posted within the Town of Los Altos Hills in three (3) public places. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills on September 3rd , 1975, and was thereafter passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 17th day of September 1975.
