RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN CT LOS ALTOS HILLS
DECLARING. THE INTENTION OF. SAID CITY TO VACATE AND ABANDON
A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET..LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF LOS
ALTOS HILLS UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE "STREET VACATION
ACT OF 1941, " SECTION 8300, et seq OF THE STREETS AND
HIGHWAYS CODE
It appearing to the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills
that a portion of a certain street more particularly described and
located within the Town of Los Altos Hills, California, should be
vacated and abandoned for the reason that the portion of said public
street easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public
street purposes, and that the best interests of the citizens of Los
Altos Hills will be served by suchvacation and abandonment;
And, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of
1941" , Section 8300, et seq. , of the Streets and Highways Code, such
action is authorized if a public street easement or portion thereof
is unnecessary for present or prospective public use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND . IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City
Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills as follows:
1. The City Council does hereby declare its intention to
vacate and abandon a portion of that certain public street easement
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
2. That the official name of the street, a portion of which
is porposed to be abandoned and the name by which it is commonly
known is Estacada Drive (formerly Estacada Avenue) .
3. A hearing on said proposed vacation and abandonment of
said public street easement hereinabove described, be and the same

is hereby fixed for Wednesday, December 3, 1975 at the hour of
seven thirty o'clock p.m.. of . said day .in the-.meeting place of the
City Council, Council Chambers, Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road,
Los Altos Hills, California notice of. which hearing is hereby given,
at which time and place all persons interested; in or objecting to
said proposed. vacation and abandonment may appear and present
objections to said proposed vacation and abandonment, and submit to
said City Council evidence in support thereof, under and in conformity
with the provisions of. said "Street Vacation .Act of 1941. "
4. Reference .is hereby made to the map and/or plat of said
. public street easement above-described, on. file. in the office of
the City Clerk, Town Ilan, Los Altos .Hills, California, for further
particulars and said map and/or plat is incorporated herein and made
a part hereof.
5. The proposed .public street vacation and abandonment be
submitted to the Los Altos Hills Planning. Commission, to be considered
by said body and a recommendation- returned to the City Council at
said hearing.
• 6. The City Council -has determined that the public convenience
and necessity require the reservation of easements and .rights-of-way
. for structures, and there shall be reserved and excepted from the
• proposed vacation of a portion of. Estacada Drive (formerly Estacada
Avenue) , and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated herein .by reference, the permanent easement
and right at any time, or from .time to time, respectively, to con-
struct, maintain, operate, .replace, remove and renew water pipe lines,

sanitary sewers and storm. drains and. other public utilities and
appurtenant. str.uctures in, upon, over 'and. across .the. real property
described in Exhibit "A" and pursuant to any existing franchises or
renewals thereof,:. or .otherwise, to install, construct, maintain,
repair, operate, replace, remove, renew and, enlarge lines of pipe,
conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures,
equipment and fixtures- in,- upon, over and across .the property
. described_ in Exhibit "A" for the operation of gas pipe lines, tele-
graphic and. telephone lines, and for the transportation or distri-
bution .of electric energy, . petroleum and- its products, . ammonia, water
and incidental purposes, including access and the right to keep the
property. described in Exhibit: "A" .free -from .inflammable materials,
and wood growth, and. otherwise protect. the .same from. all hazards, in,
upon and over the property. described in. Exhibit "A The proceedings
shall be .taken subject-. to such. reservations and exceptions.
7. .That this Resolution be posted forthwith .within .the Town of
Los Altos Hills in three (3) public places; . and that notices of said
vacation and abandonment, which notices shall state the passage of
this Resolution of Intention and of .the time and place of hearing
. thereunder, . be. posted not more than-300 feet apart. along the portion
of said public street easement proposed to 'be abandoned, under the
provisions of thea"Street:Vacat.ion .Act of 1941. " _

I. HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the Town 'of Los
Altos Hills held on the 5th day of November, 1975.

EXHIBIT "A"
All that certain portion of Estacada Drive (formerly Estacada Avenue)
as more particularly shown and delineated on those certain subdivision
maps, entitled "Tract No. 4227 , McCulloch Subdivision, Being a Resub-
division of a Portion of Lots 3 & 4 , Subdivision of the Lands of the
Estate of Jose Jesus Miranda, Decd, in the Rancho La Purissima
Concepcion, Recorded in Book F-1 of Maps, Page 50, Records of Santa
Clara County, California" , as filed for record on September 17 , 1968
in Book 242 of Maps, at page 33, in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Santa Clara, State of California, and "Tract No. 1118,
Pinecrest Heights, Santa Clara County, California, Being Portions of
the Mesa Tract, Recorded in Book .I of Maps, at Page 123, and the
Miranda Subdivision, Recorded in. Book F-1 of. Maps , at Page 50 , Records
of the County of Santa Clara" , as filed for record on March 16 , 1953,
in Book 41 of Maps, at pages 54 and 55, in the office of the Recorder
of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, and more particularly
described as follows, to wit:
BEGINNING AT THE northeasterly corner of Lot 8 as the said lot
is shown and delineated on the aforesaid subdivision map of Tract
No. 4227, the following courses and distances:
1. Along the northerly line of the said last mentioned Lot 8 ,
West to the northwesterly corner of the aforesaid Lot 8, a distance
of 67 . 91 feet; thence
2 . Leaving the northerly line of the aforesaid Lot 8, along a
circular arc to the left; having a radial bearing of North 76°24 ' 04"
West, a radius of 40. 00 feet, a central angle of 103°35 ' 56" and a
length of 72. 32 feet to a point, having a radial bearing of North;
thence
3 . Leaving the aforesaid circular curve, North, to the southerly
line of Lot 9 , as the said Lot 9 is shown and delineated on the afore
said subdivision map of Tract No. 1118, a distance of 0 . 60 feet more
or less; thence
4. Along the southerly line of the aforesaid Lot 9, East to the
southernmost corner of Parcel "K" , as said parcel is shown and delineated
upon that certain map entitled, "Record of Survey, Foothill Expressway, "
which map was filed for record in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Santa Clara, State of California, on January 17, 1964, in
Book 172 of Maps, at Page 5, said last mentioned point being on the
southerly line of the above mentioned Lot. 9 , a distance of 79 .2 feet
more or less; thence
5. South 37°32 '5.6" East along the southeasterly prolongation of
the southwesterly line of the said Parcel "K" , for a distance of 31. 80
feet; thence
6 . South 27°31' 48" East, to the point of intersection thereof,
with the centerline of Miranda. Road (formerly Miranda Avenue) , as said
Road (Avenue) is shown upon said above mentioned Tract No. 1118, a

prolongation of the southwesterly line of Parcel "D" , as said
Parcel "D" is shown and delineated upon that certain map entitled,

State of California, on January 17, 1964 , in Book 172 of Maps, at
Page 6, to the northerly line of Lot 8 of the above mentioned Tract
No. 4227, a distance of 22.52 feet more or less to the Point of
Beginning.
