HomeMy WebLinkAbout740 R D I N_ N C E IT 0 Z 4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS ArrROVING THE ANNEXATION TO TEE TOWN OF LOS iJ TOS HILLS OF CER- TAIN INHLBITED TERRITORY DESIGNITED .1S "SAN ANTONIO HILLS NO. 2". WHERE(,S, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation Act of 1913, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 70, adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills on the 3rd day of April, 1961, a special election was held on the 60 day of June, 1961, in inhabited territory contiguous to the Town of Loa Sltos Hills designated as "San *.ntonio Hills No. 2" and which is hereinafter more particularly described; and WHEREiiS, at said special election the following question was submitted to the qualified electors residing in said territory: SH::LL "SAN ANTONIO HILLS NO. 2" BE :HEXED TO THE TOWN OF LOS i.LTOS HILLS? and WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the votes cast at the special election that a majority of all votes cast in said territory on the question of annexation favor annexation; and WHEREAS, it appears that the special election and all pro- ceedings relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accordance with law; NOW, THEREFORE, the Feople of the Town of Los Altos Hills do ordain as follows: 1. That the annexation of inhabited territory contiguous to the Town of Los :.ltos Hills designated as "San '.ntonio Hills No. 2" be and the same hereby is approved.upon the terms contained in the aforesaid question which was subritted at the special election held on the 6d day of June, 1961. A true legal description of said terri- tory is attached hereto laboled "Exhibit A" and is by this reference incorporated herein as fully as though set out herein at length. 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause it to be posted in three public places within the Town of Los Altos Hills. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) drys after its tdortion. Reich and Jane B. Reich as conveyed by deed from June 2, 1960cineBook R. Lawson at ux as conveyed by deed recorded in Book 3061 of Official Records at page 341 in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California; thence westerly and northerly along the southerly and westerly boundary lines of said 0.891 acre parcel of land to the southerly line ::f the 1.006 acre parcel of land now or formerly of James Norwood Street as conveyed by deed recorded in Book 2851 of Official Records at page 563 in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of Cali- fornia, thence westerly and northerly along said southerly line and along the westerly boundary line of said 1.006 acre parcel of land of said Janes Norwood Street to the westerly line of the lands now or formerly of Robert E. Vistica et ux as conveyed by deed recorded in Book 3124 of Official Records at page 577 in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to the westerly line of said lands of Vistica; thence northerly along said westerly line of said lands of Vistica to the center line of Magdalena Avenue; thence westerly along said center line of Magdalena _venue to the easterly line of the land now or formerly of Harriette N. Aiken recorded in Book 2905 of Official Records at page 341 in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California; thence along the easterly boundary of said lands of .liken in a gen- eral southerly direction to the most southerly corner thereof; thence along the westerly boundary of said land of Aiken in a general northerly direction to said center line of Magdalena Svenue; thence westerly along said center line to the center line of Blander Way, said center line of Blander Way being the common boundary line for the lands of Wendell L. Reich and Jaze B. Reich (on the west) and the lands now or formerly of E. F. _llbertsworth and Barbara K. 4lbertsworth (on the east); thence in a general southerly direction following the various netes and bounds of said common boundary line of said lands of Reich and the lands of llbertsworth to the point of beginning.
