Ordinance No. 88, adopted b5 the City Council of the Town of Los Altos dills on P:ay 20, 1963, is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section 1.5 to read as follows: Section 1.5 Variances. A permit for the installation of a particular electrical or telephone service lead-in above ,-round may be Granted in the event that both the Planning Commission and the City Council of the Town of Los ?.atos hills find that there are special circumstances existing in connection with such particular installation, and that the Granting of such a permit would be in the best interests of the applicant and the residents of the Town of I:os Altos Hills, and. that such issuance would involve no unreasonable risk to the rublic health, safety and elfare of the residents of the Town of Los Altos Hills. The rrocedure for application for such a rermit and for consideration thereof sh=_11 be th^t specified in section XIII of Ordinance No. 78 of the Town of Los Altos dills, adopted by the City Council on December 4, 1961, and no permit shall be issued unless, in addition to the findings mentioned hereinabove, the 1'lannin Commission and the City Council find that the conditions described, in Section 13:60(b) of said Ordinance No. 98 exist. The planning Commiseion and City Councilshall consider all such matters as they may deem relevant to each such apTlication, and shall impose any and all conditions deemed necessary as conditions precedent to the granting of any permit hereunder. SEC^ION II. Except as hereby amended, Ordinance No. 88 shall remain in fullforce and effect. -1-
