HomeMy WebLinkAbout27-10 RESOLUTION NO. 2 7-10 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2010 PAVEMENT REHABILITATION AND STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WHEREAS, the annual street resurfacing and storm drain improvements program is designed to maintain safe and functional Town streets; and WHEREAS, the selected streets in the improvement list were determined by the recommendation from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's Pavement Management Program and field inspection; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Director of the Town of Los Altos Hills shall duly examine and consider all bids for the construction of 2010 Pavement Rehabilitation and Storm Drain Improvements Project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills that: 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract to the lowest responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed $1,400,000 on behalf of the Town of Los Altos Hills. 2. The Public Works Director is hearby authorized to approve potential contract change orders in an amount not to exceed 10% of awarded contract amount. 3. The Public Works Director is hearby authorized to execute a--contract with a consulting/inspection firm for inspection and testing services in an amount not to exceed $60,000. /C � ., PASSED AND ADOPTED this / ✓ day f , 2010.
