RESOLUTION NO. 675
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING CONSENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA TO THE EXERCISE OF EXTRA-
TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION TO UNDERTAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR
THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE COSTS SHALL BE ASSESSED UPON
THE DISTRICT BENEFITED, UNDER APPROPRIATE SPECIAL
ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOND ACTS
SEWER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 10
RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills,
California, that
WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council to undertake appro-
priate special assessment and assessment bond proceedings for the
acquisition and construction of improvements in said City, as follows :
(a) The construction of sanitary sewer mains, manholes with
manhole frames and covers, wyes and laterals, where required, in
Summitwood Road from Tepa Way southwesterly 520 feet, more or less,
to a point opposite the line common to Lots 4 and 5, Tract 3340;
thence in easements to be acquired along said common line to a point
in Summitwood Road, thence southwesterly along Summitwood Road to a
point opposite the line common to Lots land 3, Tract 3244; thence
southerly in easements to be acquired along said common line and its
southerly prolongation to a point on the southwesterly line of Lot 5,
Tract 2043, thence southeasterly along the southwesterly line of
Lots 5 and 6, Tract 2043, continuing in and along an existing ease-
ment adjacent to the southwesterly line of A.P.N. 336-32-50 to a
point in La Loma Drive, thence from said point northerly 225 feet,
more or less in La Loma Drive and from said point southeasterly 150
feet, more or less, to a point opposite the northwesterly line of
A.P.N. 336-32-69, thence in easements to be acquired southwesterly
170 feet, more or less, to a point, thence from said point south-
westerly 240 feet, more or less, and from said point southerly 225
feet, more or less, along the line common to A.P.N. 336-32-69 and
A.P.N. 336-32-68 thence southwesterly 120 feet, more or less, along
the northerly line of A.P.N. 336-32-67; from a point in Summitwood
Road opposite the easterly line of Lot 5, Tract 3340, running thence
southerly 320 feet, more or less, in an easement to be acquired,
along said easterly line to the northerly line of Lot 6, Tract 3340;
from a point in Summitwood Road opposite the line common to Lots 4
and 5, Tract 3340, thence easterly 200 feet, more or less, along
Summitwood Road to a point opposite the easterly line of Lot 4,
Tract 2043, thence southerly 75 feet, more or less, in easements to
be acquired along said easterly line and from said point south-
easterly 350 feet, more or less, in an easement to be acquired along
the line common to Lots 1 and 2, Tract 2043, to a point in La Loma
Drive, thence from said point northeasterly 150 feet, more or less,
in La Loma Drive and from said point southeasterly 300 feet, more
or less, in an easement to be acquired along the line common to
Lots 2 and 3, Tract 2003.
(b) The acquisition of all rights, lands and easements and
the performance of all work auxiliary to any of the above necessary
to complete the same.

WHEREAS, a portion of said acquisitions and improvements to be
made are within the unincorporated territory of the County of Santa
Clara, and a portion of the lands to be assessed to pay the costs and
expenses thereof is unincorporated territory within said County;
WHEREAS, the cost of said acquisitions and improvements and the
expenses incidental thereto, other than the portions thereof to be
hereafter determined to be contributed by the Town are to be made
chargeable upon the district benefited thereby, the exterior boundaries
of which are described as the coterminous exterior boundaries of the
composite and consolidated area of all parcels of property fronting
on said proposed acquisitions and improvements, which boundaries are
more particularly shown on a map thereof on file in the office of the
Town Clerk and in the office of the Town Engineer, which indicates by
a boundary line the extent of the territory included in the proposed
district and which shall govern for all details as to the extent of
the assessment district;
WHEREAS, said acquisitions and improvements to be made are of
such a character that they will directly and peculiarly affect prop-
erty not only within the boundaries of the Town of Los Altos Hills,
but also the unincorporated territory within the County of Santa
Clara, and the purposes sought to be accomplished can best be ac-
complished by a single comprehensive scheme of work;
WHEREAS, there has been filed with this Council a form of Reso-
lution of Intention to be used in said proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the public interest, convenience and necessity will be
served by the making of said acquisitions and improvements and the
levying of said assessments .
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows :
1. That request be, and the same is hereby, made of the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara, it being the legislative
body having jurisdiction over the unincorporated territory in which a

portion of said acquisitions.. and improvements are to be had and made
and said assessments are to be levied, grant to this Town its consent,
expressed by resolution, to the ordering of said acquisitions and
improvements, to the formation of the assessment district, and to the
assessment of the costs thereof upon the properties benefited thereby,
and the assumption of jurisdiction thereover for the purposes aforesaid
and to the making of such changes and modifications therein as may be
proper or advisable in the manner provided by law.
2. That request be, and the same is hereby, made that the form
of Resolution of Intention to be adopted be approved.
3. That the Town Clerk of this Town is hereby directed to file
with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara
a certified copy of this Resolution, together with a copy of said
Resolution of Intention.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct
copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted at a meeting of the
City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills held on July 24 ,
1972, by the following roll call vote:
