HomeMy WebLinkAbout661 411 RESOLUTION NO. 661 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS ESTABLISHING TOWN POLICY REGARDING CANCELLATION OF WILLIAMSON ACT CONTRACTS AND ABANDONMENT OF OPEN SPACE EASEMENTS. RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, California, that WHEREAS, both the Williamson Act and Chapter 6.5 of Division 1 of Title 5 of the California Government Code ("The Acts") provide effective means for securing open space on a limited term basis; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills: 1. It is the policy of the Town to encourage the use of the Acts by those owning open space within the Town. 2. It is in the public interest, and the public benefit is best served by utilizing the Acts to secure the maximum possible amount of limited term open space for reasonable time periods. 3. To implement the foregoing statements, it is the policy of the Town that, within the limitations of the Acts, termination of agreements and abandonment of open space easements will be granted on a reasonable and equitable basis. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted at a Regular Adjourned Meeting of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills held on February 22, 1972, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen Corbett, Davey, Grabowski, Helgesson and Mayor Benson NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: - City Cler Town of Los Altos Hills APPROVED: Mayor Town of Los Altos Hills iii
