MINUTES OF A REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING r
September 3, 1963
The Regular Adjourned Meeting of the City Council of the Town of Los
(')Altos Hills was called to order Tuesday, September 3, 1963, by Deputy
Mayor A. T. Henley, at 7:45 P. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road ,
Los Altos Hills, California.
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Aiken, Bowler, Fowle , Henley
ABSENT: Mayor Clayton
MINUTES: August 19, 1963.

ACTION:
Adopt Minutes of August 19, 1963 as corrected.
COMMUNICATIONS :
1. Palo Alto Unified School District.
A letter dated August 29, 1963 from the Palo Alto Unified School
District requested permission to transport and place four mobile
classrooms on the Fremont Elementary School Site , 26800 Ortega
Drive , Los Altos Hills.
After discussion by the Council and approval of the City Attorney,
the following action was taken.
ACTION:
That the provisions of Ordinance 89, pertaining to
) house moving, do not apply to actions by Public Entities.
MOTION:TIO, Fowle ; SECOND: Bowler; VOTE: Passed unanimously.
(J DeputyA°fienley requested the City Manager to communicate this
action to the Palo Alto Unified School District .
COMMUNICATIONS (Oont 'd, ) • Palo Alto Unified School District ,
ACTION:
That the request of the Palo Alto Unified School District
to move and install temporary classroom facilities on
the Fremont Elementary School Site be approved, and
(-) that the City Manager be instructed to inform the Palo
Alto Unified School District to conform to appropriate
traffic regulations.
MOTION: Bowler; SECOND : Fowle ; VOTE: Passed unanimously.
ANNOUNCEMENTS :
1. Santa Clara County Inter-City Council .
Notice of the next regularmeeting of the Santa Clara County
Inter-City Council to be held September 5, 1963 , 6:30 P. M. ,
at Alviso.
2. League of California Cities, Peninsula Division,
The September Meeting of the Peninsula Division will be an all-
day conference and held in conjunction with the opening of the
South Terminal of the San Francisco International Airport. The
(- ) League. Dinner will be a part of this program. The date is
Wednesday, September 11, 1963 at the Hilton Inn, San Francisco
( ) International Airport.

1. Western States Land Corp. , Tract No. 2554 - Acceptance of
Improvements.
Resolution No. 244, accepting improvements in Tract No. 2554,
was presented and read , in its entirety, by the City Clerk.

Adopt Resolution No. 244 as read.

ACTION:
That the request of Kenneth K. Dixon (V-154-63) be
approved asrecommended by the Planning Commission.
MOTION: Aiken; SECOND: Fowle; VOTE: Passed unanimously.
DIVISIONS OF LAND : Final Maps.
1. Paddock, Dr. R. L. , Tract No, 3116 - Engr. John W. Riley.
ACTION:
That the Final Map of Tract No. 3116, be approved,
with the condition that Lot No. 1 is not an approved
building site .
MOTION: Fowle ; SECOND: Aiken; VOTE: Passed unanimously.
2.. Izu, Mitzi, Tract No. 3530 Engr. John W. Riley.

The adjoining property, shown as Lot 11, has been declared
'not a legal building site ' in accordance with Resolution No. 238.
ACTION:
That the Final Map of Tract No, 3530, be approved.
MOTION: Aiken; SECOND : Bowler; VOTE: Passed unanimously.

5. Noll, Oliver, Tract No. 3380 - Engrs . MacKay & Somps .
ACTION:
That the Final Map of Tract No. 3380, be approved.
MOTION: Aiken; SECOND: Bowler; VOTE: Passed unanimously.
Councilman Fowle inquired as to whether the procedure for bonding and
bonding companies had been improved. The City Attorney assured the
Council the procedure was now standardized and satisfactory.
Chairman Melvin L. Hawley, representing the Planning Commission, offered
a part report on Underground Utilities ; however, as this was to be
discussed at a Study Session, it was deferred to after the Adjournment .
WARRANTS :
1, Bills , in the amount of SEVEN THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FOUR
DOLLARS and Twenty Cents (57,154.20) , were presented by
Councilman Fowle .
ACTION:
( That the bills be approved as presented ; that the
City Clerk be authorized to draw the appropriate
warrants.
