B. S. Clayton MoMon , Dececem- , ber 4, 1961 at 7:52 P. at the Town H^.1l, 26379 dayt Los Altos Hills. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Councilman Sherlock, Fowle ,2Mayo Mayr M. ABSENT: Councilman Henley MINUTES : Nov. 20, 1961. ACTION: Approved as submitted. Nov. 6, 1961. The Clerk called attention to clerical =mission on Page 3 , V. McGee. Add the following: "MOTION : Aiken; SECOND : Henley; VOTE: Passed unanimously' ACTION: Approved as corrected. COMMUNICATIONS: 1. Inter-City Council - Notice of Meeting to be held Thursday, Dec- ember 7, 1961 at 7:30 P. M. at Hyatt House, San Jose. 2. Dan Horgan - Claim for damage of automobile was received. CTION: That the Claim be dnied and referred to the insurance carrier MOTION: Sherlock; SECOND : Fowlo ; VOTE: Passed unanimously COMMITTEE REPORTS: 1. Health & Safety Committee - Firearms. Deferred to the next meeting. 2. City Attorney - East Sunset Drive. The Attorney reported that the City is bound to maintain this portion of E. Sunset Drive , under question; that the Town is legally liable to do whatever is reasonable as to the require- ments to make the road safe for the anticipated use of the road. Question was raised relative to whether the road will have to be constructed within the rightof way between E. and W. Sunset (presently unimproved) will have to be constructed by the Town. i L• East $onset cont 'd. ACTION : That the natter of the vacation or construction of the 7. Sunset Loop be referred to the Planning Commission for an one site inspection and recommendation. MOTION: Mayor Clayton; SECOND: Sherlock; VOTE: Passed unanimously ACTION : That the City Manager be authorized to correct the condi- tions of extreme hazard in the portion os E. Sunset Drive lying between our present maintenance areas as far as now being traveled. MOTION: Fowle ; SECOND: Sherlock; VOTE: Passed unanimously OLD BUSINESS: Discussion of Items Nos. 1 and 2 of the Agenda, Page Mill Road Sewer and Road Standards , were deferred to the next meeting. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Purissima Hills County Water District - Lease . Terms of the Lease were discussed. No action was taken. Councilman Liken arrived. 2. Annexation - Blanco Rancho No. 1. Resolution No. 173, giving notice of proposed annexation, was presented by the City Attorney and was read by the Clerk. Adopt Resolution No. 173 as read. MOTION: Fowle ; SECOND: Sherlock; ROLL 0.SL: AYES: Aiken, Sherlock, Fowle , Mayor Fowle NOES: None ABSENT : Henley Mayor Clayton welcomed Mr. Jack Davies , a new resident of the Town, and invited him to attend more meetings. Ordinance No. 78 - Zoning Ordinance. Title of Ordinance No. 78 was read by the City Attorney. lCTION: That further reading of the Ordinance be waived. MOTION: Aiken; SECOND: Fowle ; ROLL CALL: AYES: Aiken, Fowle, Sherlock, Mayor Clayton NOES: None ABSENT: Henley ACTION : Adopt Ordinance No. 78 as read.
