The Regular reeting of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills
was called to order by Fayor John N. Fowle Monday, February 1, 1960
at 7:44 F. N. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fest Fremont , Los Altos Hills.
ROLL CALL: FR.?SEFT: Councilmen Clayton, Henley, Mayor Fowle ,
Councilman Sherlock arrived 8:45 P. M.
ABSENT : Councilman Bledsoe
MINUTES: January 18, 1960.
ACTION:
Adopt Minutes Minutes of Jan. 18t as amended, (See
Page 2--Lupine Acres) .
COMMUNICATIONS:
1. Santa Clara Planning Commission - Notice of Meeting in San Jose ,
February 17h to consider the County General Plan. • The Mayor asked
Con issioner Nellouist to try and have Mr. Barrett to attend.
2. Santa Clara County Flannin : Commission and Board of Zoning Gd,just-
ment - agenda for Meeting of Feb. 3 , 1960. It was noted that the
Nary aprlication for "greenbelt" zoning will be considered.
Councilman Henle;, suggested that the Town oppose the change in
zoning.
The Mayor stated that he would see that the Town is represented.
3. Urs. C. E. Nelson - Letter of thanks for the Town path along
Boody Road to the Duveneh Ranch.
COMMITTEE REFORTS: Mono .
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Path on .xastradero Road.
Mrs. Travis and Firs. randoli spoke in opposition to the path,
stating that path world not go anywhere, and that it would be bet-
ter to keep children away from 'xastradero Road.
Councilman Clayton favored having a path, stating that .xastradero
Road path would join a path on 1. Fremont .ve.
ACTION:
` That it is to be the policy of the Council that a separated
�r path exist on .rastradero Road generally fronting the Travis,
Mandoli , Beth In, and other properties, starting at the west-
erly edge of the Mandoli property and continuing to W. Fremont.
MOTION: Clayton; SECOND: Henley; VOTE: Passed unanimously

2. Lupine acres , Tract 7o, _ 75 (`--'o.Ided Map)
'.n amended nap, submitted by the Clerk, designated the wells with-
in the right of way as 'Not e. Fart of the Subdivision' .
By the unanimous vote of the Council , the amended map of Lupine
Acres, Tract 2685, w'-s approved.
A letter from Mr. H. E. Socrest was road, pointing out the lack of
clarity in the Minutes of Jan. 18th, relative to approval of the
Final Map of Lupine ..cres.
That the Minutes of the meeting of Jan. 18th (Page 3 Item 1
of Divisions of Land - Lupine Acres, Tract No. 2685) ;be amend-
ed to read, "That the Final Map of Lupine :acres , Tract No.
2685 be approved, noting that in view of extensive road im-
provements to be constructed by the subdivider, future re-
imbursement of a portion of his expense to the subdivider; by
persons using Lupine Road for access to their properties
would be appropriate and equitable, 'but not mandatory' . "
MOTION: Henley; SECOND: Clayton; VOTE: Passed unanimously
3. Antisolitication Ordinance
By the unanimous vote of the Council, action was tabled, pending
further study.
4. Southern Pacific Right of '-`ay - "Resolution No. 119.
Resolution, urging the retention of the S. F. service , at this
time , was read.
CTION:
That Resolution No. 119 be adopted, as read.

Map.

Conrission, was read. l''ayor 'Towle endorsed the choice.

Mr. Prenticewas sworn into office by the City Clerk.
:.fter a ten minute recess, the meeting reconvened.
3. Freeway - Councilman Clayton spoke in opposition to the "C" route,
with Councilmen Healey and Sherlock concurring. The matter was
deferred for consideration by a full Council.
VLRIP.NCES:
1. White, Mar• aret (V-55-59) - Request for Reduction of Front Set-
backs on Corner Lot.
Dr. Gampell, representing Mrs. 'Mite , stated that reduction of
setback along La Crest& Drive is essential. Commissioner Mell-
quiet comrented that generally a reduction of setback requirements
nay be allowed when there are two streets, as in this case.
: CTI ON:
That the application of Margaret white (V-55-59) for a re-
duction of front setback requirement from La Cresta Drive be
granted according to recommendation of the Planning Commission;
that application for reduction of side setback reeuirements
from La Cresta Court, be denied as recommended by the Plan-
ning.
MOTION: Henley; S'COND: Clayton; VOTE: Passed unanimously
CONDITIONAL USES:
1. Los altos School District - Purissima >venue School Site.
;.CTION:
That this matter be referred back to the Planning Commission
to explore possibilities of traffic pattern along school pro-
perty between lizaboth and Furissir_a ..venues.

IL Councilman Clayton.

That bills in the ^r_ount of ;10,333.09 be approved for payment,
and the Clerk be authorized to draw the appropriate warrants.

Annexation Petition - San Zatonio Hills No. 1 was certified by the
City Clerk as to the sufficiency and nade a part of recotd. No action
was taken.
