ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Bledsoe, Clayton, Henley, Sherlock,
Mayor Fowle
ABSENT: None
MINUTES: March 21, 1960.
Corrections: Page 3: Abandonment of P. U. E. Easement and
Item No. 3: Palo ?.lto inaexation: Councilman
Sherlock's name was omitted in ROLL CALL. His
name should appear in 'AYES' .
ACTION:
:adopt Minutes of March 21, 1960 as corrected.
COMMUNICATIONS:
1. Stanley Grabowski - Letter, dated April 1, 1960, was relative to
traffic on 'Jest Fremont Avenue.
Deferred to the Road Commissioner.

COMMITTEE RETORTS:
1. Sanitation Committee - The Mayor reported
hct study. William a lli proposed has resigned from the committee aprointed to
Oher sanitation ordinance.
Mr. Carroll E. Bradberry was appointed to replace Mr. Simrell
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Consideration of Terms of Planning Commissioners.
The Mayor explained that the terns of Commissioners ::rthur F.
Case ane Richard S. Dawson have expired ; that the resignation of
Connissioner Hart H. Tantau has been received. He suggested,
•
due to difficulty in having a quorum for Meetings, that the mem-
bership of the Commission be decreased from nine members to seven
members.
The City .ttorney commented, citing requirements of the Govern-
ment Code, and stated that such action would require an amendment
to the Ordinance establishing the Flanning Commission.
ACTION:
That the membership of the Planning Commission be decreased
from nine to seven members.
MOTION: Henley; SECOND: Sherlock; VOTE: Passed unanimously
The attorney was asked to draft an Ordinance to be road at this
meeting.
ACTION:
That the resignation of Cornissioner Hart H. Tantau from the
Planning Commission be accepted with regret.
MOTION: Bledsoe ; SECOND: Henley; VOTE: Passed unanimously
ACTION:
That Mr. Arthur p. Case and Mr. Hart H. Tantau be sent letters
of thanks for service on the Planning Commission.
MOTION: Henley; SECOND: Bledsoe ; VOTE: Passed unanimously

That the reappointnent of Commissioner Richard S. Dawson to the
planning Commission for four years be approved.
MOTION: Bledsoe; SECOND: Clayton; VOTE: Passed unanimously
The Clerk called the attention of the Council to the fact that the
term of Connissioner Arthur S. titer had also expired on Mar. 14th.
Due to the fact that Commissioner ilter is on leave of absence,
action was deferred at this tine.

It was the concensus of the Council that Mr. Claitor should ap-

reading of the title, the following action was taken:
