The Regul-r Meeting of the City Cornell of the Town of Los Altos Hills
was called to order Monday, November 7, 1960 at 7:35 P. M. by r'iyor
John M. Fowle at the Town Hall, 26379 W. Fremont , Los Altos Hills,

Following discussion, the Mayor stated that the natter of pro-
codure should be considered, and the following suggestions ,-Jere
1. Determine whether or not the School District will pay for any
portion of the proposed paths to be constructed.
2. Determine the amount of the expenditure to be made in the
construction of proposed paths.
3. Determine whether or-not access can be gained between Lots
No. 1 and 5, Unit No. " 5, Fremont Hills to Conejo Colect,
4. Determine whether the subdivider is involved with r-- ard to
paying for the construction of pths.
5. Secure the opinions of Sgt.Meshinski , Mr. .'.ddicott , and the
A,AA' s as to the safety they can assure if a path is inst 11-

6. Mr. Salfen should e.onfer with the Committee.
7. The Planning Commission should be consulted.
8. At the present tine, are the children being adequately taken
care of by bus?
9. Mr. Salfen should make inquiry to School District to see if
children can be transported by bus until such tine as the
paths are installed.
ACTION:
That the Path Committee and any members of the Planning
Commission and other interested parties be asked to meet
to review the problems of paths to see if it can be re-
solved to the satisfaction of all parties concerned; that
the answered to the questions be secured; that a report be
made to the Council at the next meeting.
MOTION: Henley; SECOND: Sherlock; VOTE: Passed unanimously
The tine set for the meeting is Wednesday, November 9, 1960 at
11 :00 A. M. at the Town Hall.
Persons commenting on paths were Mr. W. R. Whitehead, Mr. E. J.
Martin, Dr. M. H. Jennison, and Mrs. D. H. Goodman.
The suggestion was made that the Council approve construction of
the portion of path which all concerned have agreed on, namely
between Esperanza Drive and Ascension Avenue.
The question of whether the subdivider will pay for construction
c. the path was discussed. The Attorney commented that the re-
cu.irerents had long ago been established.
ACTION:
That the Council approve the construction of the portion
of path between Esperanza Drive and Ascension Avenue.

It was determined that the Council, by Resolution No. 130, op-
posed Proposition No. 15.

That the Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills go on record
as in support of Proposition No. 1.

Councilman Aiken stated. th.^t 1:::. could rot endorse Proposition
No. 1; that he did not onrose it in principle , but that he felt
the engineering phases are not satisfactory.

The City Clerk reviewed the past actions of the Planning Con-
:nission and the City Council.
Letter, dated November 1. 1960, from the Health Department was
read, stating that drain field on Lot No. 1 must be moved to
Lct No. 2 prior to recordation of the Map.
ACTION:
That the approval of A. W. McGuire Final Map, Tract No. 2840
he withheld pending the completion of the requirements of
the Health Department.

ORDINANCES:

Th3 Title of the Ordinance was read by the City Attorney.
ACTION:
That further reading of Ordinance No, 68 be waived.

1. The Mayor announced that the Council would adjourn to a Study
Session on Proposed 'mendments to Ordinance No. 35 (Subdivision
Ordinance) .

Mr. W. R. Whitehead asked what action had been taken relative to
the dead pine trees along Concepcion ..ve,
The Mayor stated that this is natter which the Staff will take
care cf.
Mr. Salfen reported that he had received an estimate for removal
the trees from one contractor, but that he would secure several
( :atimates prior to making a recommendation to the Council.
