EGS HILLS MINUT; CT ^. h7'.=M.-h R N:ETING November 21, 1960 Thr Regular Meeting of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills was called to order by Mayor John M. Fowle Monday, Nov. 21, 1960 at 7:48 P. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 W. Fremont, Los Altos Hills, ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Aiken, Clayton, Sherlock, Mayor Fowle, Councilman Henley arrived 8:00 F. M. ABSENT: None MINUTES: November 7, 1960. ACTION: :Adopt Minutes of Nov. 7, 1960 as submitted. COMMUNIC'.TIONS: 1. Planning Commission - Letter inviting the City Council to attend a Study Session on Private Ro?ds in the Town, to be held follow- ing their next regular meeting Thursday, Dec. 1 , 1960. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Councilman Clayton commented briefly on the Santa Clara County Traf- ficways Committee 's progress. COMMITTEE REPORTS: 1. Trees - Concepcion Avenue. The City Manager reported that bids had been submi'ted for re- moval of dead pine trees. He recommended that the City' s road crew remove the trees in the normal course of work. The Mayor requested the Manager to assum this responsibility. 2. Paths - Fremont Hills School Area. The City Manager submitted the Path Committee ' s Report, which had previously been mailed to Councilmen; and a petition repre- senting twenty families and containing thirty-three (33) sig- natures, requesting a path along West Fremont :_venue. [ Following coments and questions from Councilmen, Commissioner ;e Hibner, Chairman of the Planning Commission, Mr. C. W. Cathcart, and Dr. D. H. Goodman, the following action was proposed: t Paths cont 'd. �r ACTION: That a path not be constructed on the existing strip from Viscaino Drive to Esperanza Drive at this time; that a path be constructed from the lower portion of Esperanza Tract thru the Town Hall property and the County Fire Dept. property at Town expense, and along Fremont Avenue to St. Francis Drive, the latter por- tion to be on the westerly edge of the right of way at the expense of Fremont Hills Development Company. MOTION: Sherlock; SECOND : Aiken; VOTE: Passed unanimously NEW BUSINESS: 1. Consideration of Acceptance of Alexis Drive. Tract No. 2613 (Palo Alto Hills). Dan Dana, Action was deferred until the receipt of Deed from Mr. Mullen for the right of way. 2. Minetor, Mary -- Consideration of 'Acceptance of Improvements to Purissima Avenue. ACTION: That the off-tract improvements to Furissima Avenue for Mrs. Mary Minetor, Tract No. 2441, be accepted. MOTION: Henley; SECOND : Clayton; VOTE: Passed unanimously 3. Rockwell, RobertG. - Claim for Damages to Automobile Antennae Incurred on Town_$oad, in the Amount of $50.00. ACTION: That the claim of Robert G. Rockwell against the Town of Los _"Altos Hills be denied and referred to the Town's In- surance carrier. MOTION: Clayton; SECOND : Henley: VOTE: Passed unanimously 4. Fremont Hills Unit No. 6 - Request for Permission to Rough Grade Woad for Purpose of Selling Lots. The Clerk reported that a letter had been received from the Health Department, approving the location. ACTION: That the Fremont Hills Development Co. be permitted to rough grade the road in Fremont Hills Unit No. 6, within the approved right of way prior to the approval of the Final Map. r i [ Fremont Hills cont 'd. �r MOTION: Henley; S::LONE' : C7.'jt on; VOTE: Passed unaninousl-• • DIVISIONS OF LAND: 1. McGuire , A. W. (Geer) Final_Mali Tract No. 2840. Engr. J. Riley. Relative to the requirement of the Santa Clara County Health Dept. that the portion of the septic ani drain field now located on Lot 1 be relocated within Lot 2, it was determined that a Bond, in the mount of Five Hundred Dollars (1500,00) , be posted with the Town to insure said relocation. ACTION: That the :_. W. McGuire Final Map, Tract No. 2840 be ap- proved , subject to the posting of Five Hundred Bond (1500.00; • MOTION: Sherlock; SECOND : :_iken; VOTE: Passed unanimously WARLJITS: Pills , in the amount of 1941.27, were presented by Councilman Clayton. =.OTI ON: That bills, in the .Mount of "x941.27, be approved; that the City Clerk be authorized to draw the appropriate warrants.
