amended to read, . . to establish a water system that would
adequately serve the needs of the 'people ' of Los 'altos Hills.
Mr. Seward explained that there are about 2200 acres in the third
service zone. He cited three possibilities of securing anequate
service, namely, (1) From the Purissima Hills County Water District
It the cost of '$650,000, (2) To see what the Town can accomplish
through an engineering survey, (3) To work out an arrangement with.
Ia:.o Alto. He stated that Palo Alto is bringing an 18" water main
up Page Mill Road by July of 1960. Mr. Seward further stated that
iu order to receive service from the City of Palo Alto, the area
would have to disincorporate from the Town and be incorporated with
the City of Palo Alto. Mr. Seward stated that the savings to be
gained, if the City of Palo Alto would cooperate, would be con-
siderable.
