M., Tuesday, November 19, 1957 at the Town Hall, 26379 West Fremont, Los Altos Hills ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Deputy Mayor Rothwell, Bledsoe, Fowle, Hoefler ABSENT: Mayor Treat MINUTES:: November 4, 17. ACTION: Adopt.minutes of November 4, 1957 as presented. November 11, 195?. ACTION: Adopt minutes of November 11, 1957 as presented. 1. Mrs. Frieda E. St.raatmeir - Letterof inquiry regarding sale of Mrlc' Bout Cools es -717 Me Town of Los Altos Hills. The City Clerk is directed to advise Mrs. Straatmeir--that Girl Scout Cookies may be sold in the Town. 2. McCandless & Jett: Letter regarding fee,for a Drainage Study in tieow'"n of I,os AAltos Hi11s. Discussion was put over to New Business. 3. PAtZ Attorrne:r Bullis: Letter of November 13, 1957 regarding proposed ordinance regulating grading and excavating in the Town. The letter will be referred to the Committee of Councilmen Fowle - and Hoefler, and Commissioners Dawson and Sherlock of the Planning Commission, for further study. The Committee is requested to re-* port at the next meeting on November 256. 4, Cites Atto��rne�� Bullis: better of November 13, 1957 regarding pro- posed"�r�nance regulating the establishment of driveways adjoin ing public roads in the Town. The letter will be referred to the Committee (See Item #3) for further study. The Committee is requested to report at the next meeting on November 256. NEW BUSINESS: i. variance: Jack Dymond - (V-19-57) - Request for reduction ire iidayard bet- ME or accessory building. ACTION: That the City Council approve the variance of Jack Dymond (V-19-57) for reduction in sideyard setback for accessory building. MOTION: Fowle; SECOND: Hoefler; VOTE: Passed Unanimously 2. Subdivisions: a) Monahan Manor (59-56) 8 lots. Engr. Nolte. Commissioner Williams, of the Planning Commission appeared to explain the Map and the Planning Commission's recommend- ation. ACTION: That the Subdivision Map of Monahan Manor (59-56) 8 lots- Eagr. Nolte, be approved with the regular terms and conditions. MOTION: Hoefler; SECOND: Fowle; VOTE: Passed Unanimously b) Fremont Hills,Unit #_+ (?5-57) 58 lots. Engr. • Brian. Mr. Rile; and Mr. Price were present. Commissioner Williams represented the Planning Commission in explai:ai.ng the conditions of approval;. Letters of approval have been received from the Town Engineer, Fire District, Flood Control Department, and qualified ap- proval .from the Health Department. Mr. Riley explained that conditions set forth by the Health Department are being met. ACTION: That the City Council approve the Subdivision Map of Fre- mont Hills lvinit #4 (75--57) 58 lots - Engr. Brian, with the conditions as set forth by the Planning Commission, and all governme. kcal agencies involved. MOTION: Fowle; SECOND: Bledsoe; VOTE: Passed Unanimously ✓ 3. McCandless & Jett: Regarding fee for Drainage Study in the Town. Mr. McCandless will be asked to appear at the next Council meeting November 25th. 0 -3- 4. Amendment to Ordinance - Re: Road Improvement & Drainage Fees, The City Attorney will be asked,to report at the next meeting.on November 250. 4. Zoning Ordinance - Proposed zoning regulations for the Town. The City Clerk is instructed to advise the Planning Commission that a report is requested at the next meeting on November 252. REPORTS: 1. Traffic Survey of Manuella & Miranda Intersection - City Clerk. Mr. Salfen read the report of the California State Automobile Association Traffic Department survey. a) West Fremont & Miranda: ACTION: That the Town install an "S" curve sign just 'Jest of Guisti Court and install a Right Hand road sign approximately 100 feet East of the intersection of West Fremont.and Miranda with an accompanying sign "Slow to 15 Miles Per Hour". MOTION: Hoefler; SECOND: Fowle; VOTE: Passed Unanimously b) West Fremont & 44ganda : PIA N cics c k ACTION: That the Town install a "Slow to 15 Miles Per Hour" sign on the existing right hand road marker designating the intersect- ion of West Fremont and Manuella approximately 100 feet East of the intersection. MOTION: Hoefler; SECOND: Rothwell; VOTE: Passed Unanimously WARRANTS: Bills in the amount of $4,320.36 presented for payment. ACTION: That the Council approve for payment for bills in the amount of $4,320.36 and the City Clerk be authorized to draw appro- priate warrants.
