Report gg Lawsuit Ordinance -Trucking Regulations Attorney Gar uerBulli reported -on same: "A technical motion to strike portions of our pleading has been denied by Judge Foley, and the demurrer by the plantiff over -ruled. Town Bulletin: Councilman Bledsoe reported on the Town �1�letin. Some people felt that due to the organizsti on of the Los Altos Hills Association that the Bulletin was no longer needed. Mrs. Sugden and Mr. Pfeiffer discussed the problems with the Council, after which the Council decided that the Bulletin would be continued as it was felt it was serving a definite purpose. 7. Discussion of Cenns st Mr. Bledsoe reported that the Town Los os -Altos H s needs a census study, and there was a discussion as to whether such a study is currently needed. The Council suggested this matter be discussed in the Fall because of the additional homes presently being built in the Town. 8. Town Hall Planti : A letter was received from Richard S. b -ra son -;-c ah 21v 1957, Chairman of the Town Hail Committee, stating that the planting program will be divided into three sections. The Total cost will be approximately $2,500. Currently, the Town has $700. for this purpose and an additional $1,800 is needed. VARIANCES: 1, Arthur S. Alter - (V-3-57) Poo Mr. Alter wishes to reduce his sideyard on Elise Court to 201. The Planning Commission has approved at their meeting on March 23, 1957• -2- -3— �r ACTION: Approve the Variance for Arthur S. Alter. Motion: Fowle; Second: Hoefler; Vote: Passed. Motion: Hoefler; Second: Fowle; Vote: Passed 2. C.J. McDonald (64-57) Engineer: Reinoehl. Tentative Eip dated December, 1956. Located at Toyonita Rd. at Ravensbury. 3 lots. ACTION: Approve this record of survey map of C.D. McDonald subject to: 1. Conditions as outlined by the Planning Commission. Motion: Towle; Second: Bledsoe; Vote: Passed. 3.. Don Clark (54--56) Engineer: McKay & Somps. Tentative map dateg June, 1956. 4 building sites. ,r Mr. Clark appeared before the Council to appeal the action taken by the Planning Commission at its meeting of March 23, 1957, and outlined the various hardships which he felt to be justified in this appeal. Richard Bullis, Chairman of the Planning Commission, outlined the rationale behind the Commission's recommendations considered to be the best and fairest. The cost for in lieu payments for construction were based on estimates by the Town Engineer. ACTION t The Council supports the Planning Commission in their requirements for: .3- A 3,. t :M Ln -4- a. Improvement to Town Standards of one-half of Taaffe where contiguous to the subdivision.
