MARCH 11 s. 1957
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Sidney 'J. Treat
at 7:45 P.M., Monday, March ll, 1957, at the Town Hall,,
26379 West Fremont.
POLL CALL: PRESENT: Mayor Treat, Councilmen Rothwell, Bledsoe,
Hoefler.
ABSENT: Councilman Fowle
CORRESPONDENCE:
1. A letter was received from Lawrence Dawson in which he
expressed his opinions in general about the operations
of the Town of Los Altos Hills.
2. A memorandum was received from the Building Inspector,
Paul W. Salfen, for approval of membership in the
International Conferences of Building Officials, Western
Plumbing Officials Association, International Association
of Electrical Inspectors, and a list of publications
needed to fulfill his duties for the Town of Los Altos
Hills. Total = X87 -50 -
The City Council approved this request.
3. A letter was received from Woodridge Marshall, Senior
Planner, Santa Clara County Planning Commission, en-
couraging the endorsement of Resolution No. 2958 to
create a Bay Area Regional Planning Agency as contained
in AB 1647 and SB 2285. Enclosed in the letter was a
copy of the Resolution.

Move the Amendment to Ordinance #31, that there be
added to Section 13-10 of the Ordinance the following
statement:
"Except that for any license issued after January lst
of any year the fee shall be yk that stipulated in the
above table."

11. A letter from Chairman of the Planning Commission, Richard
Bullis, to Mayor Sidney W. Treat was read. It contained
a description of the loose ends that should be cleared
up as soon as possible to make the work of the Planning
Commission fair and equitable to the subdivider and
the Commission. Mr. Bullis outlined items of first
and second priority.
The Council decided after considerable discussion to
defer action on these items because there is a study
committee concerned with these problems.and they will
not have their report for several weeks.

Whereas there is deemed a need for established standards
to govern the matter of subdivision within the City
and to be amended or supplemented from time to time
as the need is established
And whereas there has been presented by the Planning
Commission a set of proposed standards
Now therefore be it resolved the Subdivision Standards
as proposed by the Flanning-Commission of the Town of
Los Altos Hills be and the same are hereby adopted as
to govern all subdivision program within such City.
Further that these standards may be modified or supple-
mented as a need developes by Resolution of the City
Council and that these standards be kept on file with
the City Clerk of the Town of Los Altos Hills for
inspection during office hours by any person.
Above Resolution adopted at an adjourned regular meeting
of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills on
the 11th day of March, 1957•

13. There is a League of California Cities dinner meeting at
Rickey's on Thursday, March 21, 1957, at 7:30 P.M..
Either Bud Carpenter or Lew Keller from the State League
of California Cities will be present and bring us up
to date on current legislation.
