TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING
SEPTEMBER 20, 1956
The meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock P. M., Thursday,
at Purissima School,
ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Dungan, Fowles Mayor Treat
Absent: Councilmen. Bledsoe, Rothwell
Mr. Tuttlets request for refund of filing fee was denied.
A letter to the Council from Mr. Ainsworth was read and
ordered placed on file.
Mayor Treat read a letter from Mr. Bullis answering
Mr. Ainsworth, and was ordered placed on file.
The following motion was made by Councilman Fowls:
I move a vote of thanks be extended to our City Attorney,
Gardner Bullis, for his unselfish and untiring efforts
on behalf of the Town of Los Altos Hills. I also move
that the Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills extend
to.Attorney Bullis an expression of its complete confi-
dence in his guidance and appreciation of his services,
both as a legal counselor and senior advisor on muni-
cipal matters. Seconded by Councilman Dungan and carried
by voice vote.
Ordinance_ No. 23, sales and use tax, was discussed by At-
torney Bullis and deferred for future discussion.
The Neary offer on help and repair of roads, if and when
truck routes were named, was discussed and the Mayor
answered this request by reading a copy of a truck boutt
iM0*Rr Q&&n aoe, Mayor Treat moved that the ordinance be re-
ferred to the Truck Route Committee, seconded by Council-
man Fowls and carried by voice vote.
Councilman Dungan asked that a meeting be held and asked
everyone interested in truck routes to attend.

Mr. Harvey Koehn asked that the truck routes be established
before the coming election.
Mr. H. T. Peterson, a union representative --not a resident,
commented briefly on the establishment of truck routes.
A variance for Mrs. Harriet Eliel was granted on motion
of Councilman Fowle, seconded by Councilman Dungan and
carried by voice vote.
A Record of Survey for Mr. John R. Finney was approved
with the following provision: That the map be approved
with the exception that the driveway must be shown, and
proven satisfactory and safe. The owner must take note
of 'own set -back standards. was moved by Councilman
Dungan, seconded by Councilman Fowle and carried by voice
vote.
Variance for
Mrs. Harriet
Eliel
Bills amounting to $3,323.75 were ordered paid. Bills
Ordinance No. 25 was introduced for first reading. This Ord. #25
ordinance amends Ordinance No. 19 regult1ing subdivisions. Amending
