LOS ALTOS HILLS, CALIFORNIA
APRIL 79 1956
A regular meeting of the city council was called
into session at 9:30 A. M., April 7, 1956, at Purissima School.
The following councilmen were present upon roll call: Bledsoe,
Dungan, Rothwell and Fowle; absent, Mayor Treat.
Mr. Allen M. Fortney, Assistant City and County Co-
operative Projects Engineer, of the State Division of Highways
was introduced to the members of the council to discuss the
use of the gas tax funds; 40% of the fund may be used for
maintenance and 60% for new construction. The gas tax is
figured at about $3.00 per capita from the population determined
by the number of registered voters multiplied by three.
The minutes of the regular meeting and adjourned neet-
ings were read and accepted.

This resolution was passed and adopted by the city council of
the Town of Los Altos Hills this 7th day of April , 1956,
by the following vote:

Ayes: Bledsoe, Dun -cyan, Rothwell and Fowle
Noes: None
Absent: U`T (W &OC", A 4')
A contract between the Los Altos Garbage Company and
the Town of Los Altos Hills was presented and read in its en-
tirety by City Attorney Bullis. This contract is for a period
of four (4) years and may be cancelled at any time by the Tewn
for unsatisfactory service. After considerable discussion, the
matter was tabled for further study until the next meeting.
A report by Mr. Anthony Legorio, unofficial observer
of the hospital committee, was postponed.
Road Commissioner Macabee reported that he had met
with Mr. Bushnell and advised that a letter is on the way to
him.
The following; maps approved by the planning commission
were presented f -or approval of the council:
Evert H. Young - Tentative and Final Map
Robert M. Huff - Tentative and Final Map
J. T. Fitzsimmons - Final Map
A motion was made by Mr. Bledsoe and seconded by Mr. Fowle ap-
proving the maps as presented. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Bledsoe and seconded by
Mr. Fowle that bills amounting to 0573.23 be approved and issuance
of warrants be paid. Motion carried.
City Attorney Bullis suggested that agendas be sent
out to members of the council four (4) days ahead of a scheduled

meeting, copies be posted at all bulletin boards and also be
made available to the press by either telephone or mail.
The matter of a possible violation of the Town
ordinance on size of signs and billboards was presented before
the council.
Private land owners should be notified to clear any
dirt hampering use of city roads.
There being no further business, a motion was made
by Mr. Fowle, seconded by Mr. Rothwell and passed that the
meeting be adjourned until 8 P. M., Tuesday, April 17th, at
Purissima School.
