Hubbard, that a forced consolidation is not contemplated, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that it would be in the best interests of the Town of Los Altos Hills not to participate in the withdrawal election at this time since it is possible that the Los Altos election will not be successful and ours'. would' be, therefore leaving us outside the Fire District with no immediate coverage. This is not to say, however, that the proposition of withdrawal is wrong or wouldnot be of benefit to the city, but in view of the fact that there are two elections , we feel it best at this time for the Town of Los Altos; Hills to consider the question following said Los Altos election. RESOLVED. FURTHER that our investigation has served to em- phasize time and again the dissimilarities between oursituation and that of the. City of Los Altos.- Accordingly, our action in delaying an election on this question should not be taken in any way as re- flecting disapproval of the Los Altos withdrawal proposition. The foregoing Resolution was duly adopted at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills held at the Town Hall in said Town of Los Altos Hills on the 19th day of October , 1959, by the following vote : AYES: Councilmen Bledsoe , Clayton, Henley, Sherlock, Mayor Fowle NOES: None ' ABSENT: None Mayor - • .
