RESOLUTION NO . 8 2
WHEREAS, it is required that the City Council of the Town
of Los Altos Hills determine the general per diem wage to be paid
to the various craftsmen and laborers required in the construction
of improvements in and for said City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
Town of Los Altos Hills, Santa Clara County, California, that it
hereby determines the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in
the Town of Los Altos Hills, as well as in the surrounding Commun-
ity, to be paid to the various craftsmen and laborers engaged in the
construction of improvements in and for the said Town of Los Altos
Hills , is as hereinafter set forth herein, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such scale of wage be kept on
file in the Office of the City Clerk for inspection and review of
any party interested and shall further be contained in and made a
part of the specifications for any said work of improvement and to
be complied with therein.

be identical.
When Flat Rack trucks are overloaded, the higher classification shall
be paid.
Men regularly employed underground on tunnel work shall be paid $1.00
per hour preium for such work, provided that such employment under-
ground or tunnel work continues for at least 4 hours.
Drivers handling double-headers receive an, additional $1.00 per day.
Note: Eight (8) hours shall constitute a day's work unless otherwise
specified.

General Laborer (in accordance with Master

Foreman, when employed, shall receive $3.82 per hour
Any classification omitted herein shall not be less than the pre-
vailing wage scale as established for similar duties for the particular
area. All time over 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week shall be
compensated for at one and one-half or double the above rates, as pro-
vided by prevailing wage agreements.
Notice is also hereby given bidders that it shall be mandatory
upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon all sub-
contractors under him, to pay not less than said general prevailing
rates of per diem wages, as above listed, to all laborers , workmen
and mechanics employed in the execution of the contract.
The foregoing Resolution was unanimously adopted at a Regular Meet-
ing of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills held on the
17th day of November , 1958, by the following vote.
