WHEREAS, the Citizens' :Committee for. the El Camino Hospi-
tal has made a thorough studyof hospital requirements in this area
and has determined that the' best and most feasible method of se-
curing: adequate hospital , facilitiesis through the formation of a ..
hospital district, and`
WHEREAS, this Citizens' Committee. circulated a petition
which requested the Boar.d::of. Supervis ors of Santa Clara to
call ' an election- to form this hospital ..district, and
WHEREAS, the Citizens'. Committee' s petition was signed
by 3,876 registered ,voters' supporting the formation of a hospital
district, which .i s approximately. 20% more signatures than is required
by 1 aw, . and
WIEEREAS, the . Citizens.' Committee has 'also received over-
whelming support from' the .many large industrial organizations in the . .'
proposed district, and
NOW, THEREFORE,. BE 'IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the Town of. Los Altos Hills (Organization) does hereby endorse
the proposal .to form a hospital district, in the area as outlined by
the Santa Clara County :;Board of Supervisors: at their meeting on
August 13, 1956.:
