HomeMy WebLinkAbout23 411 RESOLUTION NO, 23 WHEREAS on the 20th day of June, 1956, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills duly adopted Ordinance No, 17 of said City providing for the regulation of traffic including a limitation upon the weight of trucks operated within the Town of Los Altos Hills, and WHEREAS on the 16th day of July, 1956, a referendum petition was duly filed with the City Clerk of the Town of Los Altos Hills protesting said Ordinance and requesting that it be repealed or submitted to election of the voters of the Town of Los Altos Hills, and WHEREAS the City Attorney of the Town of Los Altos Hills has reported that said petition is in form valid and the. City Clerk of the Town of Los Altos Hills has reported that not less than 10 per cent of the voters of the Town of Los Altos Hills. have been found upon his investigation to have properly signed said petition, and WHEREAS the effective date of said Ordinance No. 17 has thereby been suspended, and WHEREAS the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills has reconsidered said Ordinance and determined that said Ordi- nance shall pursuant to Section 1772 of the Elections Code of the State of California be submitted to the voters of said Town of Los Altos Hills at the Special Municipal election to be held on October 2nd, 1956• NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Ordinance No. 17 be and the same hereby is submitted to the voters of the Town of Los Altos Hills at the special municipal election to be held on October 2nd, 1956, and that the officers of the Town of Los Altos Hills make all necessary arrangements and provision therefor.
