Side I, 001-118 <br />Mayor Perkins called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />9:10 a.m. in the Council Chambers of Town Hall. <br />A. FOLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: <br />Present: Mayor Perkins, Councihmembers Allison, Hillestad and van Tamelen <br />Absent: Councilman Proft <br />Staff: Acting City Manager Marty Tarshes, City Planner John Carlson and City <br />Clerk Pat DoWd <br />B. BUDGET STUDY SESSION <br />The Acting City Manager reviewed his staff report dated July 30, 1982 and discussed <br />the summary pages of the proposed budget. <br />Martin Wank President - Los Altos Hills Little League, explained to the Council <br />the purpose, philosophy and contribution of the Little League. He stressed the <br />importance of organized activities and rated that the Little League represented <br />an important athletic and social function in the Town. Mr. Wank commented that <br />the Town and the Little League had worked well together in the past and that he <br />and the Acting City Manages would be meeting in the rear future to discuss the <br />budget and financial responsibilities of the Little League. <br />Account #1-400 - City Council <br />MOTION SECOIZED AM CARRIED: Moved by van Tammelen, seconded by Perkins and passed <br />by the following roll call vote to change the name of section 17 to 'expenses' <br />from 'vehicle expense' and to decrease the amount to $150/mo. (total = $9,000). <br />AYES: Mayor Perkins, Coencihw tubers Hillestad and van Tamelen <br />NOES: Councilman Allison <br />Allison noted, for the record, that this amount was clearly a stipend and should <br />be shown as such in the budget. <br />MOTION FAILED DUE TO LACK OF A SECONID: Moved by Allison to make the change in #17 <br />retroactive to the beginning of the fiscal year. <br />PASSED By OJNSENSUS: To make the change in #17 effective September 1, 1982. <br />t <br />
