II, 001-024 <br />Mayor Pro Tem Thomas McReynolds called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />7:39 PM In the Council Chambers of Town Hall. <br />A. ROLL CALL 8 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: <br />Present: <br />Mayor Pro Tem McReynolds, <br />Councllmembers <br />Nystrom, Perkins and Proft. <br />Absent: <br />Mayor Hillestad. <br />Staff: <br />City Manager Robert Crowe, <br />City Attorney <br />Frank Gllllo, Commissioner Joseph <br />Dochnahl for the Planning <br />Commission and <br />Deputy City Clerk Susan Buttler. <br />Press: <br />Florence Pallakoff, Los Altos <br />Town Crier <br />and Dave Farrell, Palo Alta Times. <br />D. CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Mrs. Wood, Stonebrook Drive, requested removal of the Warrants. <br />r Councilman Perkins removed the Minutes of September 6, 1978, Item 3. a) and 4. a) for <br />separate consideration. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Councilman Nystrom, seconded by Councilman Proft <br />and carried unanimously by all members present to approve the remainder of the Consent <br />Calendar, specifically: <br />I. Approval of Minutes: September 7, 1978. <br />4. Resolutions for Adoption: <br />b) Resolution #1155 accepting certain Improvements, "LANDS OF WOOLWORTH", Tract <br />No. 5993. <br />Mrs. Wood, Stonebrook Drive, questioned the amount spent under Warrant #3875 and was <br />advised of the need to purchase a new saw as the old one had burnt out. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Councilman Proft, seconded by Councilman Perkins <br />and passed unanimously by all members present to approve the following: <br />2. Approval of Warrants: $16,851.97. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Councilman Perkins, seconded by Councilman Nystrom <br />and passed unanimously by all members present to amend the first Motion on Page 2 of the <br />September 6, 1978 Minutes to Include: 'In order to obtain legal guidance from the City <br />Attorney relative to compliance with the six Code requirements for Variances.'. Minutes <br />of September 6, 1978 were then approved as amended. <br />LO Since there was no one available to speak to Item 3. a), Council determination was to <br />defer this matter until later In the meeting. At this time, Mayor Pro Tem McReynolds <br />announced the continuation of two Items under SPECIAL ORDERS to the next meeting at the <br />request of the Applicants. These Items are LANDS OF TAYLOR and LANDS OF ADOBE CREEK <br />COUNTRY CLUB. <br />
