TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING <br />July 22, 1974 <br />Mayor Pro Tem Leslie Helgesson called the Adjourned Meeting of the City <br />Council to order at 3:40 PM in the Multi-purpose Room of the Fremont Hills <br />Elementary School, 26800 Ortega Drive, Los Altos Hills: <br />A. ROLL CALL: <br />Present: Councilmen Cheney, McReynolds, Councilwoman Miller, Mayor Pro <br />Tem Helgesson. <br />Absent: Mayor Grabowski <br />Staff: City Manager Bruce Lawson, City Attorney Frank Gillio, Planning <br />Consultant George Mader <br />Commission: Commissioners Spencer and Carico <br />Guests: _Santa Ciar ount Commissioner loan Steinberg, Betsy Crowder. <br />Palo to Plann ng Department. <br />B. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />1. Proposed Moody Canyon Re -zoning: <br />Planning Commission Chairman Donald Spencer presented concerns regarding <br />the proposed rezoning of certain portions of Moody Canyon from the present <br />"A", agricultural zoning to "RHS" zoning. He raised questions relative to <br />the County ordinance on slope density calculations wherein there are <br />three levels o` calculating the slope. He said that in certain instances, <br />the calculations are rounded to the next whole number, rahch is not <br />compatible with the Town's ordinances. <br />Mr. Spencer also said that the "A" zoning was done at the request of <br />residents of the Moody Canyon area and they were assured it woulrf remain <br />that way; that new the County was attempting to change the zoning over <br />their protests. <br />Santa Clara County Planning Commissioner Jean Stei:ber, as'red Mr. Spencer <br />if it was the position of the Town that the are? ^a gep,. to its 9reser+t <br />zoning. <br />Commissioner Spencer replied that he could aot spe,: to tha.�: ..�estinn- <br />but speaking for himself, in its present corm, iie was it taeor o+ !na <br />present zoning. <br />Mrs. Steinberg asked if a letter of opiin ,n had been ren,>.rea r,? f:hp <br />at the time of the public hearing on this matter on May 3.Fth <br />
