Benson called the Regular Adjourned Meeting of the City <br />Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:45 P. M. in the Council <br />Chambers of the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, with the <br />following members answering roll call: <br />PRESENT: Councilmen Davey, Grabowski, Helgesson, and Mayor Benson, <br />ABSENT: Councilman Corbett. <br />PLANNING COMIDIISSION REPRESENTATIVE: Commissioner Donald E. Spencer. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 17, 1971. <br />The Minutes of May 17, 1971 were approved on Motion by Councilman Helgesson, <br />Second by Councilman Grabowski and carried by majority vote, Councilman Davey <br />abstaining. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />`r 1. The Minutes of the Traffic and Public Safety Committee were noted, <br />particularly that portion in which they recommended that the Town <br />relinquish its jurisdiction on that part of the Foothill Expressway <br />that lies within Los Altos Hills to the City of Los Altos for traffic <br />patrol only. The Committee also recommended the Town support AE 2107, <br />which is Assemblyman Mc Alister's amendment to Section 21954 of the <br />State Vehicle Code. <br />MOTION, SECONDED Arm CARRIED: Councilman Grabowski moved, seconded by <br />Ccuncilman Helgesson and carried unanimously that Staff advise the <br />State Legislature that the Town supports AE 2107. <br />2. League of California Cities announcing their Annual Conference to be <br />held September 26 through 29, 1971 in San Francisco. <br />3. State Division of Highways notifying the Town of a proposed reclassi- <br />fication of certain roads and highways. Los Altos Hills is not affected <br />by this proposal. <br />4. Los Altos Hills Association announcing the new officers for the current <br />year, with Mr. William C. Downey, Jr. replacing Dr. Kenneth L. De Haven. <br />S. Los Altos Hills Association in response to a letter from the City Manager <br />suggesting that the Town use students to man the recycling center at <br />Town Hall. They also suggested that the container, which is at the Town <br />Hall, be placed at Foothill College. The City Manager suggested that <br />the Town of Los Altos Hills might cooperate with the ecology group in <br />Los Altos and specify our collection center for recyclable material <br />be at the same location. <br />
