CITY COUNCIL <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF A REGULAR ME3TING <br />February 3, 1969 <br />REEL 15 - SIDE 1 - TRACK 1 -- FOOTAGE 00 - 600 <br />Mayor Wm. Ross Aiken called the Regular Meeting of the City Council of the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:50 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the <br />Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, with the following members <br />answering roll call: Present: Councilmen Benson, Davey, Fowle, Helgesson, <br />Mayor Aiken. Absent: None. <br />TOWN CONSULTANT: L. W. Morse <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: January 20, 1969. <br />Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Fowle, and carried unanimously, that <br />the Minutes of January 20, 1969 be approved as submitted. <br />Ce <br />Acting Manager, Dennis R. Lahr, read the following communications: <br />1) Pat L. Hunziker, Santa Clara Valley Science Fair Association, San Jose, <br />dated January 13, 1969, requesting Mayor's proclamation of Science Fair Week <br />`� (March 28-31). <br />Council concurred with said proclamation. <br />2) Robert F. O'Connor, Focus on Young Children, Englewood, California, dated <br />February 3, 1969, requesting Mayor's proclamation of Nursery Education Week <br />(March 3-9). <br />Council concurred with said proclamation. <br />1,5- <br />SCHEDULED <br />5 <br />1. Inter -City Council will meet, Thursday, February 6th in Los Gatos. <br />2. The 1969 Annual General Assembly meeting of ASAG will be held, Friday, <br />February 28th in Berkeley. Councilmen Benson and Davey indicated they will <br />attend. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 1: <br />CONSIDERATION OF AMENDMENTS TO ORDINANCE NO. 64, re: Business Licenses. <br />Staff report was presented, reviewing the application of business license <br />Ordinance No. 64 to gardners and limited delivery service by area businesses. <br />Staff noted all neighboring municipalities, except the City of Palo Alto, <br />require that gardners be licensed annually at fees comparable to the Town's <br />$25.00 license fee. Staff noted that additional hourly employees in the <br />Town (nurses, babysitters, etc.) have never been subjected to the requirements <br />of the business license ordinance and recommended that this policy be continued <br />Staff noted all neighboring municipalities require licensing of delivery <br />` vehicles on a flat fee per year, regardless of the actual number of deliveries <br />performed. <br />
