*1W CITY COJNCIL <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />AINUTES OF A REGULAR 19EETING <br />August 21, 1967 <br />Mayor Albert Henley called the meeting to order at 7:55 P. N. in the Council <br />Chambers of the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, with the <br />following members answering Roll Call: Councilmen Benson, Davey, Mayor <br />Henley. Absent: Councilmen Aiken (arr. at 8:00 P. M.), Fowle. <br />Approval of Minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 7, 1967 were APPROVAL OF <br />deferred to the next regular Meeting. MINUTES <br />The following communications were read by the City Manager: COM4UNICA- <br />1) Cormaunication dated August 5, 1967 regarding noise from ti�a TIONS <br />Junipero Serra Freeway and signed by Nr. & Mrs. John G. Ronsi,:k, 13023 (1) <br />Vista del Valley, Mr. & Mrs. J. D. Brodie, 26600 Elena Road, Mr. & Mrs. <br />Ralph A. Cowden, 26799 Cowden Lane, and Bonita L. Young, 26635 Taaffe Rd. <br />2) Communication dated August 16, 1;67 from the Los Altos Hills Assoc. (2) <br />regarding noise from the Junipero Serra Freeway. Since this communication <br />was received after the Agenda deadline, it :vas deferred to Presentations <br />from the ?loon. The Mayor assured all concerned that they have Council <br />cooperation, as well as from the Tree Planting Committee and City Banager. <br />Councilman Aiken arrived at 8:00 P. M. <br />3) The following communications were received after the Agenda deadline,(3a) <br />but were read at the request of the Council: a) Emanuel H. Pearl, <br />County of Santa Clara Health Department dated August 21, 1967, answering <br />Mr. Preston Burchard's letter dated July 16, 1967 and proposing to make <br />their files available to Metcalf and Eddy in their sewerage study; b) (3b) <br />Emanuel H. Pearl, County of Santa Clara Health Department dated August 21, <br />1967 advising they will no longer include the three last paragraphs of the <br />"Application and Agreement for Permit for Temporary Disposal System", but <br />that they could see no significant value in the commission of notifying <br />all signers of this agreement since it is a matter of public record that <br />these agreements are not legally binding. <br />Motion by Councilman Aiken, Second by Councilman Benson, that the Council ACTION <br />ask the County of Santa Clara Health Department to supply it with the ON COM - <br />list of all those who have signed this document so that the Town nay MUNICATIC <br />notify then, following approval of the City Attorney. Roll Cali Vote: (3b) <br />Ayes: Councilmen Aiken, Benson. Noes: Councilman Davey, Mayor <br />Henley. Absent: Councilman Fowl,— Thi Motion was defeated. <br />Motion by Councilman Aiken, Second by Councilman Bp_nson, that the ACTION ON <br />Council renew their request to the He�1th Ltipartment to provide that COMMUNICATI( <br />information as requested by Mr. Burchard to the Town and to Ketcalf (3a) <br />& Eddy. <br />Councilman Aiken requested the record show that his main concern is <br />the lade of confidence people have with the Health Department because <br />of their statements about the sewage problem and that there is a need <br />to know of the corrected and existing violations. <br />
