CITY COUNCIL <br />TOWN OF IAS ALTOS HILLS <br />_ MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />September 19, 1966 <br />The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos <br />Hills was called to order Monday, September 19, 1966 by Deputy <br />Mayor Gordon E. Bowler at 7:53 F. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 <br />Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, California. <br />ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Aiken, Davey, Deputy Mayor Bowler <br />ABSENT: Councilman Fowls, Mayor Henley <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: September 6, 1966. <br />ACTION: <br />Adopt Minutes of September 6, 1966 <br />as submitted. <br />MOTION: Davey; SECOND: Aiken <br />VOTE: Passed unanimously. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEMS: <br />1.- Los Altos Chamber of Commerce - Agreement for Service. <br />Council were agreeable to the revised agreement submitted by <br />Mayor Henley, except that the amount of 1400.00 was considered <br />high since a promotional service is not desired by the Town. <br />This item was continued to the October 3rd meeting and the <br />City Clerk instructed to invite a representative of the Los <br />Altos Chamber of Commerce to attend this meeting in order to <br />explain the extent and usefulness of their service. <br />SCHEDULED ITEMS: <br />Discussion of Private Roads. <br />Councilman Davey read the latest contribution from Councilman <br />Fowls re "Recommendations for Private Roads" dated September 19, <br />1966 and Council concluded it was a close step in working toward <br />an agreement on a resolution of Council intent with respect to <br />private roads which will provide the City Attorney with the <br />necessary guidelines for effective ordinances. <br />Comments from the Floor were heard from Mr. and Mrs. J. Bell <br />and Donald Spencer regarding the report as to road widths, two <br />acre minimum zoning, and the responsibility for the liability <br />of narrow roads, with the suggestion any maintenance agreement <br />include an insurance policy for such liability. <br />City Clerk was instructed to circulate Councilman Fowle's report <br />with the Minutes and re -agenda this item for discussion at <br />the October 3rd meeting. <br />
