%W 40 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 183 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMENDING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 105 OF SAID TOWN, RELATING TO FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />APPROVAL OF CERTAIN NEW SWIMMING POOLS. <br />The City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby <br />ordain as follows: <br />SECTION 1. There is hereby adopted that certain map dated <br />February 11, 1971, and marked "Swimming Pool Regulation Map of <br />The Town of Los Altos Hills", a copy of which map is attached to <br />this ordinance and by this reference incorporated herein, and at <br />least three copies of which shall be kept on file for public <br />inspection in office of the City Clerk. <br />SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and determines <br />that in the area of the Town shown on the Swimming Pool Regulation <br />Map of the Town of Los Altos Hills marked area "B", due to the <br />present availability of adequate fire fighting water supplies, <br />it is not necessary that each new swimming pool be required to <br />have Fire Department access or connection. <br />SECTION 3. Section XXIII. of Ordinance No. 105 of the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"SECTION XXIII. SWIMMING POOL REGULATIONS <br />Every swimming pool, wading pool, water storage <br />tank and other similar sources of water located within the area <br />marked "A" on the Swimming Pool Regulation Map of the Town of <br />Los Altos Hills shall be so located that access thereto by the <br />Fire Department vehicles can be readily made. The installation <br />of every such pool or tank shall be subject to approval by the <br />Fire Department prior to issuance of a building permit, and <br />prior to certification of final inspection. <br />In lieu of providing the hereinabove required <br />access, the owner may provide a permanent suction pipe running <br />from the pool, tank or other source of water to a location <br />ROBIN O.
