The City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby ordain as follows: SECTIO°: 1. Section 3-1.03 of the Los Altos Hills i!unicipal Code is hereby by amended to read as foilo%ss: "Sec. 8-1.03. Amendments: Section 303 Subsection (a) of Section 303 of said Building Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 303. Fees. (a) Building Permit Fees. A fee for each building permit shall be paid to the Building Inspector and the amount of said fee shall be comprised of the following: i. The amount set forts in Table 'lo. 3-,A, but not less than $25.00, olus ii. An amount equal to $0.10 for each square foot of the structure or Portion thereof covered by the permit, such square footage to bo measured by reference to the eave lines or exterior walls, .whichever will provide the greater neasurenent. The determination of value or valuation under any of the pro- visions of this Code shall be made by the Building Inspector. 1?here work for which a permit is required by this Code is started without obtaining such permit, tie fee for such permit thereafter granted shall be ten (10) tires the normal fee for such pemit; provided, however, such increased fee may be waived by specific action of the Council in any case in u6t ich it is deemed that such increased fee would be a special hardship and that the work was commenced without intent to evade the provisions of this Code. The payment of any such increase;i fee shall not relieve any person from fully complying !¢ith the requirements of this Code in the execution of the work nor from any other penalties prescribed for violations of the provisions of this Code." SECTIO1 2. Section 8-2.02 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
